Broxah is awesome and a former pro, but he cut out the part where he gets invaded lvl 1 by fiora at raptors and gave petu a huge lead. otherwise this game would have looked a lot different

He didn't say much about it, too busy getting zoned by blitz. Afterward he was shocked they went 0/5 on the drake fight. He spent most of the game saying that Shen jungle is bad, eclipse first item is a waste of his early lead, and that he only lost the jungle because of the Fiora invade level 1 giving Petu a good early-game lead.

If you press tab and look at the grubs icon, it actually shows if you or enemy has slain any before they do all 3 and it shows up on killfeed
Don't you need vision for it to show up there?
Not anymore, it was fixed in today's patch

Have you tried overheal in the jungle yet? After you fully evolve your green pet you walk around with a 500+ hp sheild

I love seeing you play Shen jungle. I have been playing Shen exclusively jungle for months now, so it's nice to get some insight on how higher elo players handle the role.
Bonus: One of the techs I have picked up playing Shen jungle. When you have a Bami's cinder, use your W when the camps are low and start your recall early. This way, you will start recalling faster while your Bami's finishes the camp and the W prevents them from stopping your recall. This works especially well if you have passive because your shield will eat any hits from camps that outlive your W duration.
Do you even strictly need Bami's for that if they're low enough, considering pets?
@@novaseer Depends. Pets are unreliable. Sometimes you need to AA again for them to continue attacking.
@novaseer I've tried it a lot. You technically don't but they have to be so low for them to be killed during your W duration that it ends up being faster to auto them and start your recall. Ashton also hit the nail on the head. It's an unreliable method.
I have huge respect for your deep knowledge of the game, and your content is always filled with thoughtfull gameplay, and as a bonus you even proved the curling captain wrong. mad respect xPetu, you are truely a one of a kind.

I enjoyed this a lot. The commentary is very emitionaly engaged, eventhough it is post game. And it is also extremly dense and interesting. I watch league footage, for enjoyment and learning. This ticks both boxes 100%.

This type of commentary is great! We get to actually hear the thought process behind the builds. For instance until now I've always thought you bought Ionian boots of lucidity because Shen is from Ionia.

You explain each decision, item, rune in an easy-to-understand way, and honestly, even with such a strong accent, it doesn't hinder at all and actually adds to the overall entertainment. Wow! I am from NA and been playing league from season 2-12. I quit playing a few years ago and just watch streamers now when I eat lol. I just want to say it is refreshing seeing players have such a positive outlook and approach to the game. All the NA streamers just smurf and complain about their team literally every video like Zwag. So cool to see good players prove their strats against other actual good players. Instantly subbing and gonna look into that Broxah fella too. Thanks for the good content for a change!!!!!!!

I decided to play Shen support/jungle this season. Last season I was Bronze 3 .. but NOW with the meme power of Shen I have made it into high Silver 2 and climbing. Same account. I may be losing more LP than gaining at losses.. but at least its fun and managed to climb (about 23 LP a win and lose 27-29 LP when defeat.. sucks). Thank you master xPetu.

7:06 it's actually also given away by the scoreboard grubs counter. It won't refresh while it's open, but opening and closing it will refresh the counter
Also love Broxah, one of the few somewhat positive high level streamers. Really cool to see a game where you guys interact, though it made me giggle at his saltiness toward the Eclipse buy. XD

Damn, I just realized how good Petu is at articulating things during the early game. I've been playing Shen since 2012 and I've learned so much on Shen Jungle from this video alone. Keep up great work Petu, extra props for the nice intro too. Very well edited.

A suggestion that I think it be nice to hear you live commenting in certain moments or fights, but overall all voice over commentary like this video really give us more insight on Shen
Bro ive never actually seen and enjoyed such a detailed walkthrough of jungle play, makes me realise how bad i am at reading the map and sorta just play based on mechanics and general game sense xD

Petu the edits on the videos lately have been very good. Happy you're back to health!
I’m a noob, so take this with a grain of salt, but I use the “toggle” option in the controls (I think gameplay options) when I click “target champions only” with my middle mouse button, it only attacks enemy champs, and when than I can turn it off when the fight is over. Or toggle it off and on during fights in lane or when trying to steal jungle mobs, so I always click the enemy even if they’re standing under drag or inside of their minions.

I think you can know whenever the enemy kill a voidgrub by pressing tab and check the number of voidgrubs at the top Interface, near the team kill counts.
I think that only updates on vision tho
Inspired me to pick up Shen jungle with your runes and the cinder + eclipse. It was very enjoyable for the two games I've played so far.

You can see voidgrubs taken! The game doesn't show you the kill notices for them, but they show up on the scoreboard right after they are killed alongsode the dragons, barons etc.

What is better in this situation? 21:43 Ult Fiora when she has been hit for that amount of HP or ult her at the beginning either to prevent dmg on her or force the enemy retreat from her?.
Because something I´ve seen about Shen´s ult is that even it looks and feels awesome to save someone at the brink of death...they´re pretty conditioned after all. Because once the shield goes away they´re not really in such a good shape for keep skirmishing. And that sometimes ends up leaving me in a 2v1.
you protected a bigger shutdown on that second use of ult (the 2nd time, where you ult'd fiora instead of kennen) so i'd argue you were 100% right for not ulting initially
just heard you mention this lol, but even the amounts were hugely different, like 150g shutdown on kennen vs 300 on fiora
did you know you can hit your R with your cursor on the kennens portrait and the ult will target the portrait you are hovering!
You're pretty good at math and map awareness, it's crazy.
I absolutely love high ego players (usually yone, akali, kayn, yasuo, samira otps..) assuming you're easy kill, or unexperienced, or a meme builder, simply because they have not thought about the full potential of a champion they don't usually play as getting absolutely RAILED by said champion.

you can actually see if the enemy jungler has done grubs by pressing tab there is a grubs icon which tells you if 1 or 2 grubs are done before the global reveal on the third.

2:12 brother Petu if i learned one thing about shen jungle from you, its that you Q at 1:17 to get your passive shield on cooldown, then Q again asap and then you have 3 Q autoattacks and on the 2nd Q on the camp (3rd Q in total) you will have your passive shield up again. This is not the petu i know, help
