Going backwards in the video collection. Watched the last 3 years live. I race on Lake Michigan and Lake Huron. Ocean's seem to roll, but Great Lakes are always confused when you are in the middle! Got to go out on the Old 12 meter America's Cup boat named Intrepid. When I was on it, it was called the Intrepid Wind Dancer. My uncle was a full time crew on it. Never got to race on it! Although I did watch a Nelsson and Merek 36 named Moody Blue, (Google that boat name), pass it with just their main up. Wind Dancer had everything up! It was impressive for sure!

The audio track I assume is from a drone cam. It is better than chopper noise, as much as I love the whirlybirds at the start.

If Wild Oats had stayed on the crossing course, they might have avoided the penalty. Forcing Comanche to veer away by turning right in front of her was inexcusable. Not taking the penalty turns was an open thumbing of the nose to the race committee. Both boats could have been severely damaged if Comanche had not veered away.

Channel 7 ! Where is the rest of the close tack between W oats and Commanche? Why did you cut away? Did you have a technical problem or was someone drunk?

It's the same work experience kid camera producer they use for the football.

Amazes me the comments on here. This is sailing.. ALL the rules Apply ALL the time. Unlike football where only some rules apply at any one time. WO stuffed it up. The Navigator should have told them early that they weren't going to cross, so they should have ducked. If you are going the right way you keep going.. I think WO would have crossed but probably still would have got a protest anyway. but it would have been easier to win. After they tacked they should have got straight into a penalty turn. The amount of distance they lost would not have mattered. WO DID NOT WIN. They screwed up and were lucky not to be disqualified.

They won boat for boat, and rightfully so. Comanche and Spitball seriously needed to chill out, spitball thinks he’s gods gift to the world, and he’s really not, I’ve met him in person, he’s a stuck up prick who nobody really likes but just tolerates. I don’t like him🖕🏻

To me, although I felt WO deserved a penalty, the 60 minutes was way excessive.

in a 600 miles race? what would have been more appropriate? They were too arrogant to make a 720. That would have won them the race. (even after another horrible start by M. Richards.)

Hilarious, I guess Spithill has been round Larry Ellison a bit too much ie...when you're losing, change the rules or get the committee to hand you the win. This is what ETNZ were finally able to overcome in Bermuda.
