Berdly has some weird parallels with Spamton. Both are desperate for recognition, both are turned into puppets by a greater force, both are pacified by cutting the wires, and both meet the same fate in the other route. The only difference is that Berdly can break his own strings and, in his own words, take his freedom.

CHIKEN. i had NEVER THOUGHT about the potential double meaning of ralsei's little spiel when kris and susie first meet up with him again. i've always felt like ralsei knew a lot more than he lead on but it's very interesting that he only mentions the time being short AFTER susie corrects him about it. if sans is self-aware and aware of time in-game (and technically irl, ie. the "another 2 years" reference), what if ralsei is ALSO aware of it irl? i saw a theory a while ago that perhaps ralsei is kind of a representation for giving the player, NOT KRIS, but the PLAYER, the adventures one might have wished to go on with asriel, and never could. hence also why ralsei seems dismissive about some of kris and susie's requests, is reluctant to learn new game mechanics in order to maintain the "player is in control" aspect, totally brushes off kris' very obvious discomfort after the whole spamton/puppet thing; perhaps all in an attempt to make the experience the most enjoyable it can be for the PLAYER, not necessarily for kris. maybe ralsei knows that kris is something of a vessel for us to play through, and is aware that they don't totally have free will, but goes along with it for the sake of the player. i don't think ralsei is evil or malicious or anything, just desperately trying to hold onto false pretenses and pull the wool over our eyes for the sake of the players' entertainment. anyway don't mind me i'm just typing as things come to mind. terribly sorry for the long comment lol. really enjoyed the playthrough. bummed i couldn't see it live but glad to watch it now! much love
Bro, I don't care if people aren't like, professional Voice Actors or some shit, but this guy's decision in voice tones for characters is just... *_everywhere it shouldn't be._* _It like, _*_actually_*_ made it kinda hard to keep watching._

There's no emotion or depth behind anything he says, despite giving them voices anyways. If he's JUST gonna read the words on screen, do it in your own voice then. Making a voice for a character, just to have them say EVERYTHING in that exact same tone? It's just a waste of effort & instead of him NOT doing anything with it, he does SOMETHING which makes me *_expect_* more as well since he's already putting in THAT much effort, but instead I just get disappointment.
i wonder also if the in-game religion worships the player as a deity. i think alvin or somebody mentions the "angel" as a god of sorts, and pulling from undertale lore, the **player** is the "angel" in the legend of the deltarune, the one who has "seen the surface" and will make the underground go empty. i wonder if, apart from undertale, the "surface" is moreso the real world, not in-game. perhaps spamton knows that there's a world outside of the game and he beckons kris to join him in 'seeing the light' so to speak. "we'll reach our heads up through the clouds to see heaven", "heaven, are you watching?", etc, etc. i don't know, just a thought :))
I know this is way late, but another thing about that- I'm pretty sure that in the Snowgrave route, there's a line where Spamton says, "[Angel, Angel]" when talking to you. At first I thought that was referring to Noelle, because of her whole Christmas theme, white gown, etc. But now I'm kind of realizing- he was referring to you. The player.
As always your interpretations of their voices are very original and enjoyable. It was nice seeing you have a blast with this chapter! Hopefully your channel grows soon, since you're very underrated for the amount of quality your videos have. Thanks for the upload!
The fact that Spamton is tied to Gaster and/or the knight makes me think this won't be the last time we'll hear about him. Similar to how there were teases of Jevil in this chapter, but Spamton's will be deeper. Agh, can't wait-

I'm going with the good theory of, "Hey, this isn't me, I am being controlled, I want to be myself, so I will rip YOUR soul out of me so MY soul can live,". This is essentially my thoughts about the medication I'm given for my A.D.H.D and A.S.D.
If it was true in Deltarune that killing things gave you LV, you would gain it in the Snowgrave route, but you stay at LV 2 the whole time. The only time LV increases is after you seal a fountain - it's increased by the time you start ch2 and it's increased again when you return to Castle Town at the end. Noelle starts at LV 2 as well to match the rest of the party. (Also sidenote, you don't gain LV from inspecting the beds, you just get a different title. The hero titles change a lot throughout chapters so try keeping an eye on them next time you replay)
Something I saw be brought up was that the calendar in Noelle's room was apparently based off of the search "December Holiday," which, if Dess is short for December, would be her sister's full name. So, what if her sister didn't necessarily die, per se, but instead went missing? What if Noelle searches up her sister's name all the time, just to see if something, _anything_ had been found out about what happened to her? What if her disappearance had something to do with the strange bunker south of town? The bunker that Kris, apparently, knows something about? Food for thought...
I particularly like how you take the style of Queen's text, particularly the lack of punctuation, into account- I feel like most people just end up doing a standard fancy and/or robot-y voice but ignore the inflection and that always feels incongruous with how its actually written out to me. You're probably my favorite Queen voice tbh.

Literally everyone, regardless of their opinion on Berdly, ends up mentioning the idea of killing him at some point with no knowledge of *that* route. *EVERYONE.* On an unrelated note, two things I know a lot of people need to hear: First, Queen isn't Lancer's biological mother. For one thing, she's a robot, but more importantly, King is suprised when she claims to be Lancer's mother and asks when that was decided, to which Queen says "arbitrarily right now". Queen just decided to adopt Lancer at that precise moment. She's the embodiment of random internet humour and meme culture and I love that about her. Second, don't get your hopes too far up that Noelle and Susie will end up together. Thus far, there is very little indication that Susie reciprocates Noelle's very obvious feelings for her, and Susie definitely seems oblivious to said feelings. All the evidence seems to suggest that Noelle is firmly in the friendzone, that Susie sees her the same way she sees Kris and Ralsei(both very much platonic relationships). Do I hope that this will change and Noelle will get her dinosaur girlfriend in the end? Absolutely, but as it currently stands at the end of chapter 2, it doesn't look like that's going to happen. All we can be sure about is that Berdly is definitely not going to be the one to get the girl, especially once you take *that* route into consideration. I know that me saying this is going to upset some people, but someone has to say it. I also find it amusing that you commented on getting Mettaton vibes from the Spamton encounter where he *isn't* controlling a robot body very obviously designed by Mettaton's deltarune counterpart(Remember, Alphys is a school teacher, not a robot-building scientist, so even assuming they've met (which they most likely haven't given that the human fanclub they met at in Undertale wouldn't really have a purpose), she wouldn't be able to build him a corporeal form. Instead, he just had to fantasize about it and use a paint tool to make a design. Which means that Mettaton NEO is literally his edgy self-insert OC.), and whose theme uses motifs from all three UT ghosts who actually have motifs(Mettaton, Napstablook, and Mad Dummy/Mad Mew Mew) One more random thing:As of the latest update, if you beat the "crappeth"(his words, not mine) out of Rouxls, he will call Ralsei a bimbo. Just thought more people should know that that's a thing, even if it's going to bring new life to the absolute buffoons who look at the *prince* who uses exclusively he/him pronouns and think "Ah, yes, pink horns, this must be a woman".
Theres 1 theory that I love, that you are piloting kris like a mech, and when he rips it out he takes back control, but when you say certain things kris reacts during some dialogue like at the end, kris dislikes you choosing anyone EXCEPT susie
Chapter 2 took so long because Toby wrote the whole game script for all the 7 chapters and got an injury on his hand for a while in that period so the next chapter will probably come out way faster then chapter 2 did

Does anyone know what happens when you say no? (When Susie asks if you're okay after spamton). Something about the amount of emphasis the game was put on it seemed off to me, I may be wrong though! Also Chiken in the case that you see that, I love your content, thanks for another video! :D
If you say no, Susie says that you apparently yelled. They later comfort Kris and calm them down. Many people have assumed that Kris yells because they finally get to say what they want to say, repeating it over and over in themselves to the point where they yelled when they were actually given permission by the player. But that's just a theory. *A game theo-*
When Kris takes out his Soul, it frees him from your control. And Kris is trying to kill himself so you can't play anymore and can't control him anymore, while his soul is out of his body. Kris can only talk when the game lets you pick the option, I guess were the bad guys now. Edit: yeah on second thought i think kris is making these fountains, guess were the good guys now.
that first Ralsei encounter is not unique. I got the same thing and I got Deltarune on my switch after chapter two released and played both chapters back to back. There wasn't a 4th wall break.

Chapter 2 took so long because Toby wrote the whole game script for all the 7 chapters and got an injury on his hand for a while in that period so the next chapter will probably come out way faster then chapter 2 did

If you say no, Susie says that you apparently yelled. They later comfort Kris and calm them down. Many people have assumed that Kris yells because they finally get to say what they want to say, repeating it over and over in themselves to the point where they yelled when they were actually given permission by the player. But that's just a theory. *A game theo-*

When Kris takes out his Soul, it frees him from your control. And Kris is trying to kill himself so you can't play anymore and can't control him anymore, while his soul is out of his body. Kris can only talk when the game lets you pick the option, I guess were the bad guys now.

2:51:43 they had school that day. So it probably isn’t Saturday, maybe Tuesday. Chapter 3 will probably be a Wednesday and if it’s like a Christian religion that would match up. Some Christian churches most of the time have some sort of thing going on during Wednesdays.
