Jaguars have to the best of my knowledge the strongest bite force and their preferred way to kill is bite thru the skull of their prey... One of my biggest reasons I like them best

This is why jaguars are the apex predators of the Americas and can basically eat their prey out in the open without much fear of their prey being stolen.

Its fascinating to see all the physical differences of Tank and Binta. I know theyre different animals and all but the fact that theyre so similar yet different fascinates me.
I have watched many jaguar vids and learned that jaguars are really sensitive to privacy. When a jaguar is given something interesting and knows humans watch over its reaction, it pretends to be uninterested or lazy in front of humans. Jaguars look so gentle and peaceful but we don't know what they are thinking. I should say jaguars behave like "diplomats."
I'm proud to know that an American big cat is the world's champion when it comes to bite force!!!!!! Fun fact,the name Jaguar, if I remember correctly, comes from a Native American language, and means " he who kills with one jump". I believe Jaguars ambush their prey by hiding behind bushes,then they jump out from their hiding place killing their prey with their powerful jaws in just one jump.

It's just as mythical as the claim that Lions only bite at 650psi.

Must be a reason of why the jags are so beautifully painted, by nature. There is a symphony, of shades of yellows, browns, with marks in pure black and white. Somehow his belly, is painted in black and white. Hard to understand, maybe somebody knows, but I doubt it. Magnificent animal !
Pantheras, have a similar beautiful colored fur, hard to understand, jags are from Brazil, Pantheras from Africa, somehow nature found the same solution for both of them. Then,,again, I don't understand many things
It is a form of camouflage. The spots allow them to blend in with the shadows and light of the shrubs and dirt of their homes. It's hard to imagine unless you see it in action but they are nigh invisible in their natural habitats. I encourage you to look it up. I never end up being able to spot them.

It'd help to demonstrate to the cats that those coconuts are hollow and breakable - with no experience otherwise, they have idea or interest in trying to bite down hard on something like by all appearances is just a solid piece of very hard wood.
I wonder was it the fuzzy outside of the coconuts that made them all do the stink face lol. Tank at least tried to break it. Really surprised he didnt crack it considering what Jags are capable of doing with those jaws

One of the things I love about cats is how well they scale. 😁 Obviously any time you’re with a big, powerful predator you need to treat it with respect & caution. Thing is, I’ve had house cats who would have been absolutely terrifying if they were scaled up to Big Cat size. When I was younger we had a male Maine Coon tabby mix who had a healthy adult weight of about 17 pounds. Physically, Chester just looked like a huge, muscular tabby. He had that Maine Coon size & intelligence, though, and he was socialized as a kitten teenage boys so his style of play could get a little rough. Chester could leap from the floor to the top of the fridge without much effort when he was young & he would lurk up there like a leopard sometimes. If he caught me with my back turned from one of his high perches & was feeling frisky he’d sometimes tackle me just for giggles. I weighed almost 170 pounds in high school at 5-9 & I started power-lifting when I was 14. Getting hit in chest of between the shoulder blades by that cat was an experience. If Chester caught me off-balance he could knock me on my ass. It was like getting hit with a fluffy bowling ball. I loved that cat so much. ❤️❤️❤️
