So much respect for Sam and mark. They talk about the balance of committing almost their whole existence and always trying to get people to enjoy and connect with their jokes but also not lose the beauty of it all. Not falling into the bad parts of ego. Instead getting on a stage being brave and speaking to random groups of people and just try to make them laugh and be super happy. Everyone goes to a club, theater, stadium, because it’s fun, but also it solidifies/ validates our values and beliefs.

In Mexico, you can get water filters installed at home and the reverse osmosis water comes out of the tap on the sink. Restaurants definitely use ice made from filtered water, and technically street vendors should be using those too. Also, Mexico City has a large Korean and Japanese population. And there are definitely luxurious hotels and airbnbs. I can give you some recos for your next Mexico City show!

i think what Rick Rubin meant by "diary entry" is that your work is an intimate record of who you were at the time of making it. that's basically always the case. it's not so much that you should get personal with what you're expressing, it's that what you're expressing _is_ personal because you're being true to your experience as a creator at that time.
As long as you're lucky enough that your tastes and style match up with enough other people's taste and style at any given time. Most 'artists' have to compromise at least a little if they want to make it.

Triple sec and Cointreau is equivalent to a legit "twist" of an orange peel. If you take a slice of orange peel and "twist" it in or over your drink, the peel sprays out some liquid. Its kinda bitter with an orange flavor. That is what triple sec and Cointreau is supposed to be, possibly a lil sweeter though
Cointreau is often used as an easily available triple sec. Can do twist of orange etc plus syrup instead

It is merely a moment in your life and a part of your work as a whole. create it as you feel and are inspired in the moment, but then move on to the next creation. It's not a literal diary entry about your own life

So true Fellas....letting that ice melt is a horrible choice. I did something similar in North Africa in Tunisia. I had little money and was trying to stretch the few drinks I could purchase. Nursed the drink down to the nubs at the disco....next morning...I was in a similar health store playing charades with the employees to grab some medicine. Luckily eventually we all figured it out and I received medication. But...yeah same instance with letting it melt. Comedy 🙌🤣⚡
