To all of you who have checked this video out, there have been multiple content updates since the video was published so go play Psychopomp again to see even more content!
I think what was said about goofy creatures being far scarier is honestly something that really clicked with me in this game. Silly anime heads were able to make me feel so much more uncomfortable than some actually really scarily designed monsters in other games I found. Some spoilers ahead from here so... Specifically near the end when the heads were on stalks just waving about freaked me out to the point I smashed them all with a hammer and if they were more generically scary monsters that wouldn't have been a type of 'fear' I felt in this game.
Definitely, I feel that with uncomfortable monsters and incomprehensible ones alike. I got my tastes from watching too much Evangelion and seeing all of the crazy angel designs, even the Rebuild's version of the giant diamond one when it's morphing around and SHRIEKING 🔹
As someone who saw when Karbonic first announced the game on his twitter and played the game (to 100%) on day 1, I'm so glad someone got to interview Karbonic about the psycopomp. I'm really really looking forward to what he makes next.
This game was so good and the aesthetic is top notch. Happy to see some comments from the Dev in the video. Always like seeing some insight of the minds behind the media.
I try to reach out as much as I can for these videos, I love hearing the thoughts behind all of the creative weirdness. I'm really glad people connect with this kind of thing like I do!
I just played through that a few days ago after someone on my Discord brought it up, it definitely looks that way! We also uncovered some secrets like the password-locked poem hinting at the identities of the characters 👀 I also heard people making connections to DashBored and the other Fading Club games so I'll be checking those out soon too
It was such a good way to wrap up the experience after the original ending! Covering the NEW RELEASE of the game this month (Psychopomp Gold) so I'll definitely be on the lookout for the song in that one too 👀
Played through the game today in a single sitting, loved it. Wish there was more, but also kinda glad it wasn't too long, since this game is the type that gives me frequent headaches, similar to ones I get when playing cruelty squad. Not at all a detriment in my eyes, though, the game's goal was to unsettle me and I sure as hell was unsettled haha
If any game would cause headaches, it's definitely Cruelty Squad lol. I'm planning on making a video for that one too! I also prefer shorter horror experiences because it allows for more wild and unique ideas without anything losing its impact over time (also because of ADHD). Often the most creative games I've played can be beaten in less than a few hours!
I just played through Psychopomp a few days ago and I find it really impressive this game that took ~2 hours to go through is still taking up as much of my headspace as fucking Space Marine 2, a game I'm literally still playing on a near daily basis. Tbh even now I still don't fully know what to take literally/metaphorically or how to interpret certain areas. Here's hoping that the game gets more attention once Psychopomp Gold comes out, it 100% deserves it.
Aw thank you!! I'm so happy these videos are resonating with people, comments like this really keep me going. I will keep it up, I've got plenty of weird to go around 🔥🔥🔥
This video made me super happy. It’s comforting to know some of the “Real life tips” came from the dev himself, because I was astounded to find my own delusions and paranoia very well depicted in the main character - but was mortified to realize a lot of TH-camrs and commentators would use a plethora of harsh words to describe her. Super excited for more to come!
Noooo I didn't know people were treating her like that ;-; I even ordered a plushie of her that's going to be here in a few months when they're manufactured! I'm really glad the video resonated with you so much, I pump a lot of effort and love into each one because I'm so passionate about these games and want other people to enjoy them too 😭 I'm glad there are people here who share that passion and connect with these games like I do, and so happy to be able to talk to these developers and experience the things they create. Also, less than a month until Psychopomp Gold!!
@@MisspelledMoos Some comments I’ve read on TH-cam are either sexualizing or talking about her in just a generally very demeaning about the game being about her conspiracies (Something about mental disorders still being treated negatively I guess). .. Super happy about the plush, and your other videos as well! Ahhh, I’m so excited for Gold!!!!
Been waiting to watch this video forever 😭 Was making a deep dive on the game and wanted to experience it for myself to form my own opinions. Awesome you got the dev to speak :D Glad so many people are enjoying the game as it deserves the attention its getting! Defos subbed after this >:D (great review btw)
1st vid I've found of this channel. Really well done vid, also including an interview with the dev. How is this a sub 1000 subbed channel! Yt algo actly recommending good work.
You definitely should! I did a livestream of my first playthrough and we had a great time, then I went back through afterwards to record footage and discovered a bunch more hidden stuff

Im so glad even a little content for this game exists
I refuse to let gems like this slip through the cracks 🔥
More is on the way!

Same here, and very excited to see the world of Psychopomp expanded on in the future too 👀

Honestly this little game was far more interesting than big budget games, the new epilogue though, wonder if it is a teaser for the future

I really hope to see some video called: Psychopomp the fully lore/story, this game was a very nice experience and also very uncomfortable but awesome
The final song is one of my favorite parts of the game. I'm glad the dev put it in despite his worries about it.
It was such a good way to wrap up the experience after the original ending!

No wonder I bought the soundtrack
Your editing just gets better and better

It's living in my mind dir days now
Hell yeah, the song fits so well with the story too 🎶 glad you're loving the game!
What a fascinating interview! I'll surely have completely normal dreams tonight!
All dreams can be completely normal if your brain blocks them out of your memory :D
