This chapter was for sure the best so far it showed so many more elements than I ever thought My Hero Academia would ever show. When I first started this show I thought that it was going to be sweet and heartfelt but seeing thing chapter I felt things that I only felt in anime like Tokyo Ghoul and to me that says something and this really makes me happy and I hope to feel all these deep emotions the happiness sadness I hope to cry all the tears when this all gets animated.
Bakugo apologizing for everything that he has done to Deku and doing it openly in front of the whole class, it is just so BEAUTIFUL! This is EXACTLY what i’ve been waiting since chapter 285! This is by far my favorite MHA chapter EVER.
Dammit Horikoshi, you almost got me crying last chapter with Iida, now I’m straight up sobbing because of this amazing redemption being finally complete.
That's how you do an apology. Zero excuses. Naked and truthful and from the bottom of your heart. Also the earnest acknowledgement of the fact you might not be forgiven, nor expecting it would change everything. A genuine expression of sincere atonement and a wish to lift up and help.
And also, showing the remorse through action instead of just words. This verbal apology is Bakugo´s last step of redemption after he had shown his remorse through his action helping Deku training, encouraging him (well, encouraging ala Bakugo anyways), and even sacrificing himself to save Deku.
I love how bakugou called deku “Izuku” instead of “midoriya” People only refer to people by their first name if they’re really close like family so this actually says a lot.

Well he used to call him Izuku when they were little it was just when he learned to read that he came up with the nickname Deku, also the have been together for their whole lives so it makes sense just like Deku always hold on to Bakugou's childhood nickname.

About Uraraka's question "who will save heroes when they're the ones in trouble?", I have feeling it will be about the people that will/should protect their heroes when they're in trouble. Like a scene from Spiderman 2 (Tobey McGuire) when the passengers tried to protect Spiderman from Doc Oc when he was unconscious. You know, because Horikoshi is Spiderman fans I just can't shake this idea from my head...

This is the single best chapter of the whole series hands down. The paneling, the transitions from childhood to present day and the flipping emotional payoff of it all was a thing of beauty! AND THEN WE SEE 13'S FACE!! and to cap it all off, Ochacko renews her vow to be the hero of the heroes! Horikoshi, my heart was bursting after this chapter!!
@@rishisarkar5204 @Rishi Sarkar she tried to suck up Kurogiri the first time Shigaraki attacked UA. Her hero name and look is likely inspired by the Apolló 13 space mission to the moon in 70, that had to scuttled due to an oxygen tank exploding and putting the 3 man crew aboard in serious danger.
Thirteen: "The ones remaining outside are Anti-Hero vigilantes and an extremist that has become violent" This is definitely a hint that Stain is still here and there is a good chance we will see him in the later chapters.
I'm thinking stain is going to prove himself an allie, respecting the few heroes left for being real heroes and taking out the villains for not being in it for the right reasons
The only question now is what would Stain doing during the chaos? Considering him eavesdropping the conversation between Deku & All Might before the student abandoned the master, my hunch tells me that he will going to do...something: Like taking All Might hostage and challenge Deku for a rematch or something...
@@Chingaez Stain's character is not like that at all. Respectfully you are in the wrong, since Stain respects Deku and All Might too much as Heroes. What is most likely to happen however - is Stain talking to Deku on their ideologies and either Stain accepting that he was wrong to be a Hero Killer or just admitting to himself that Fake Heroes & Villains should always be put down permanently... (I go for the Former option - of Stain realizing his faults, but only after him talking to Deku & his friend's as well if they are in Deku's presence.)

The way the series handled Bakugo's bullying at the beginning was one of the few things that never quite set right with me at first, but I take it all back. Horikoshi was just playing the long game. Beautiful.

What's really great about this is that Bakugou, in regards of who he is, his goals, and aspirations, haven't changed. He just a guy who realized that it's time to stop being shitty towards someone else because they don't fit into your ideal depiction of who they SHOULD be. Great stuff. It's been a long time coming, this chapter.
If im gonna be honestly i still dont like that deku got to get away with just chasing and following bakugo around for years before he just decided to stop. He was in a way harassing bakugo and i saw that as why bakugo even started bullying him since he didnt bully him untill we saw deku continue to chase him.

It wasn't until after it was revealed that Deku didn't have any quirks that Bakugou started to look down on him. And after Bakugou started shitting on him, he kinda drifted away and they didn't hang out. It's not Deku's fault that they were put in the same school system. I like Bakugou's character but his shortcomings are his own.

Do you not remember the scene where he pushed deku over and laughed and when deku got up he chased after him. He didnt follow him around forever but its shown that he didnt immediately stop trying to be a part of bakugos friendgroup. And as someone whos dealt with clingy peoppe who've done similar things i can say that at that point you kinda have to be mean to get them to leave you alone. Issue is that bakugo didnt stop even after deku stopped pursueing him.

Ive dealt with multiple people like this in higb school and even somepne like this at work, one being a female who was seemingly trying to date me and the work one being a guy who persistently claimed we were friends for months after i made it clear we were not. It gets old and you have to stand your ground at some point. If you saw i did say bakugo went from this level of "get away from me" to pursuing and bulling, but at first it just looks like kid deku wouldnt leave him alone. He even says during their final battle that he chased after him for a reason, he was obviously following him for a time after bakugo was no longer interested.
Seeing Bakugo apologizing to Deku and calling him by his name, his a huge step for Bakugo. Remind me of a scene from DBZ when Vegeta finally admits that Goku is better then him and gives Goku his full respect.
This recent chapter makes me think: now that Bakugo has reached the peak of his development, and Deku has returned to the UA after everything he has passed on the streets, how will be Deku’s development from now on ? He need to learn to fight for himself, be selfish (in a good way) , these kind of moments or happens when he competes with Bakugo
I wouldn't say Bakugo has reached his peak just yet. There are still a few things he needs to do first before he can really embody the idea of a being a hero.
I think the peak for Bakugou's development would be him pushing Deku forward, since he started pushing him back. For Deku, he just needs to know when to let others fight and when he should be the one to strike.
Bakugo's confession was truly amazingly done! When those people were shouting about Deku, I was done... I just wanted someone to shout at them. I wanted Deku's Mom to take Present Mic's Mic and shout out a lecture at them. Can you imagine how emotional of a scene that would be, her shouting they don't deserve to be protected if they are unwilling to protect their protectors and kick out a child so tired, beaten, and battered.
The big thing to note though is despite all this - *Deku has not been saved yet from his mentality.* He was still ready to leave on campus. He just lost since he was tired, no one yet convinced him to stay around. Since the narrative went out of its way to show his harmful mindset, I really do hope it spends its time to address his poor mental health and how that aspect can be better resolved... Hope that is not skipped over and we get his own internal reflection on things to transition to show that development for his character.
Or maybe that he becomes a villain by exhausting himself trying to do all the right things, losing himself in the process. The other 'One For All' all died young so maybe they all had the same ambition. (I'm still trying to tether the outcome of where this is going so I could be wrong here) Eventually Deku becomes a god and can no longer exist in the world.

The only reason all might and deku is still alive from one for all is because of being quirkless. I think Uraraka Will be the one to 'save' Deku. Sort of saving best for last. Btw I think the closest thing to a god in MHA is one for all And all for one. Plus Deku will never be a villain , dark Deku with the harmful mindset is as close to being a villain as it gets and he still a hero
Honestly, watching Uraraka holding Deku's hand was like a breath of fresh air. Not for ship reasons (although I do ship them), but primarily for comforting reasons. The boy needed a friggin hug. Or at least some sign of physical affection. I really hope she keeps holding his hand throughout the rest of the series. He's gonna need it.
What he needs is someone on his level to have his damn back. What he needs is some pro heroes from the rest of the world to wake up and come help. A hug isn't going to take down AFO. Deku wouldn't be in this position if he had people on his level to help him. But such is the fate of a OFA user.
Deku is not saved yet, he's still sad and feels dead inside and is mirroring Eri and needs to be saved emotionally still and still hasn't smiled once. He wanted to turn around, especially when he saw the crowd and said he doesn't belong there and the crowd to him proved his point and he was ready to leave and would have made Bakugos apology go to waste. Uraraka stopped him successfully and now will give an emotional speech next chapter and save Izuku emotionally and inspire him and the crowd and bring hope back to Deku and the people, and save their hearts and make them smile. Just like Nana Shimura did.
If a single student hero's speech will be enough to fix the crowds worries, then Horikoshi would be a shitty mangaka. Since he isn't, I expect Deku's worries and the civilians worries to be proven right, when AFO, who thus far has been many steps ahead, attacks and the 'safety' of the UA barrier turns out to not be enough. a couple High-end Nomus would be a threat, especially since last we saw them they were getting smarter on the battlefield every minute they fought. I don't think Uraraka's speech will stop an attack by AFO, if it does then like i said, Horikoshi would be a garbage mangaka.
I'm hoping for the Pros and the people he saved to step up for him now. And yes ... this Includes Eri shining her absolute cuteness upon their miserable souls.
I have a feeling that we'll be finally seeing Eri, Aizawa and Mirio. The way Deku can no longer smile is parallel to how Eri was after she was freed from Overhaul. I'm guessing Eri will try anything (like Izuku and Mirio at UA Festival) to make one of her saviour smile.
Have we seen Aizawa yet since he cut his own leg off without flinching or breaking eye contact? I vaguely remember seeing him in a hospital bed. Wonder how he’s gonna work around the missing limb
How would Eri make him smile though? To Deku, she's just a little kid who doesn't understand what is currently happening. I think Eri is in the same boat as Inko where they don't understand what's happening.

I think deku returning to UA school is a wise choice, hear me out: All for one and shigaraki tomura are the type of people that will do anything to achieve their goals, that means, even if deku made a noble sacrifice to leave the UA school to keep his friends safe, still all for one and shigaraki will attack the UA school and use it as a bait for deku to come as “ you are a hero and you will not abandon your dear friends “ and maybe the chances of capturing him will increase, so if the UA school will be attacked in either way, the best choice is that deku stay in the UA school to protect themmore properly.
I really really need Uraraka, or the whole class, say to Deku that he could have been a great hero without a quirk. Since All Might said he could be a hero, but just to take OFA and the burden it comes with it. Just intensifing a sense of self hatred and unworthiness he had for himself
Reminds me I used to bully this kid throughout elementary and little of middle school. But after getting bullied myself, I realized what kind of a shitty person I was and one day I apologized to that kid I used to bully. We cried, and now that kid is one of my best friends

I’ve grown to respect the current Bakugou. He’s definitely changed from his past self. Although I don’t necessarily forgive him for his past actions, I will let it slide seeing as he’s a much more mature person now.
Exactly, I really hated Bakugo, and even more so the people that loved him and completely forgot what he had done. But now, I can enjoy him as a character, and hope he continues to grow.
Bakugo was never one of my favorite characters in the story, he was honestly one of the ones I really didn’t like, especially in the beginning. But after seeing him apologize to Deku, something he seemed to be too arrogant, prideful, and stubborn to do, I can honestly say he’s starting to rank higher on my list. That is one of the two things that I’ve been waiting to be said to him in the series for a long time. The other hasn’t happened yet, but we all know she has to say it eventually.
Actually grown ups cry more because they are emotionally more mature at least that is what i experience. Like when i first saw code geass in 2014 i was sleeping on Shirley death but i felt really sad when i watched it again this year
I love that it wasn't some apology in some hallway or during training. I'm sure there's gonna be people who are "HeS oUt oF cHaRaCtEr" but they would have been right if this was Bakugou in the much earlier parts of the series, which isn't the case. First or even third season Bakugou wouldn't bother to apologize, but current Bakugou or him in the next season or two seasons might, and he did.
Honestly, I thought this was 100% in character for Bakugo. He always does everything all out. To give Midoriya a half-assed apology would be going against the core aspect of his character.

Sadly I HEAVILY disagree. Bakugo has not changed Izuku. It’s the same as before. Izuku changed Bakugo for the better BIG time. And Izuku changes EVERYONE. But the amount of impact others have on him? Sadly quite minimal. BUT, now that he’s apologized, he’s opened the door to reconcile. To ACTUALLY be his friend. Izuku is not saved. That dead look in his eyes remains. Once he’s patched up, restocked, and rested, he’s gone. He was STILL trying to get away at the end. The only one that can save him is the one person he never proved himself to and she knows darn well she won’t let go again. UA is a TOXIC environment for Deku to stay in. This time I think he will agree to take classmates with. Likely the class big guns. Uraraka included. But there’s no chance classes simply resume.
It’s honestly pretty amazing how well written the character development is. Deku and Bakugo are very much opposite of each other if you really think about it. And their paralleling each other’s growths. Deku has to learn to be more selfish (in a good way), and Bakugo has to learn to be more selfless. Absolutely amazing job, Horikoshi!

Bakugo apologizing especially in front of the whole class is just amazing, you can tell his character has changed a lot and I feel like he really is worried abt deku even tho he don’t show it well😭 like when they came to get him back bakugo insulted him😭. @@sugamadre9839 Vegeta started the same way, he thought he was entitled to being the greatest just because of his royal lineage. He started to work hard when he saw Goku surpass him naturally. Bakugo is definitely in the same category of character development as Vegeta has seen. That is why they tend to be the favored characters because you see actual progress. The main characters like Goku and Deku seem lame in comparison because they offer the same non growth nonsense. However people favor them because they know plot armor protects them and will always pull ahead of everyone else.

If your talking about battle power and levels Bakugo has been putting in the work since his fight with Deku, knowing he was chosen to take on Allmights quirk. Just when the My Hero Acadamia mangas couldn't get any more emotional, but then Horikoshi said "Nah fam. Read this new chapter, and then tell me what you think" GOD DAMN. At least Deku finally stopped and let his classmates bring him back to U.A. (Well, his body actually gave out which caused him to blackout YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN). Also, why are the citizens so DISRESPECTFUL towards Midoria? I get it that the League of Villains are targeting him, but you do realize that HE IS LITERALLY THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN STOP ALL FOR ONE, him and the Pro Heroes (the ones who are still fighting to the end that is (Farewell, Death Arms. Your acts of heroism will never be forgotten)) and U.A. students. You don't want Deku to stay safe in U.A. and let him DIE out in the crime-filled streets (bare in mind, Deku is a FREAKING KID, and the people don't want him near them just because he's a target and are willing to let him get KILLED off outside the borders, just to save their own skins (selfish pricks), well SUCK IT UP, CHUMPS, AND DEAL WITH IT!!!
I felt very much the same way: the loud part of the crowd was acting more like villains: not accepting responsibility for their own situation/weakness (relying on others), and being willing to make/let others suffer for their own selfish reasons. I do think that there was a part of the crowd that was willing to let Midoriya in (they were the first to say that the principal guaranteed their safety), but they were drowned out by the crowd that wasn't (they would only trust the guarantee if AFO's target wasn't there), and I hope they were a minority, but it only takes a really, really loud minority to drown out a quiet majority. Personally, I think that, if anyone is going to change the minds of the ones who want Midoriya out (based entirely on a rumor and assumption, no less), it would have to be the civilians and children who Deku saved, including the tall mouse lady, Eri, and Kota, and maybe even Mama Midoriya) who do it.

@@Daakkii True but this is a USA context both the video and the first comment so we who are not from there should adapt and understand that in this sense it DOES mean "Greatest Of All Time". Every country has their acronyms, words with double meanings and it´s best to understand the ones being used at the moment and check what it means to the context. I’m really happy MHA takes its time with the story it makes scenes like the Bakugo and Uraka one feel satisfying and earned. I’m not a big fan of the power of friendship troupe, but idk series like mha just know how to use it right in my opinion. Favorite chapter so far😌

Deku at the end is how i would act. if a crowd was screaming at me to the point the loudest person that can cause eardrum damage with his voice cant even calm them down i would just walk away.
I know a lot of people are pissed about us not getting to see more badass Deku and honestly that's such a mangaka thing for Horikoshi to subvert people's expectations like that. As for me personally, I'm more interested to see how this all goes.

Reminder: When Horikoshi was first revealing the characters for MHA (1 per day), he said that they were being revealed from most important to least important. Aoyama and Hakagure were among the very first characters to be revealed, ahead of characters like Shoto and Uraraka. Traiter alert.
@@ThePrimordialArchon idk, from what i've seen, he aint been the type to forget. i personally am in favor of the hagakure traitor theory. 1: while aoyama's usj story didn't line up, it was revealed much later that he had just hidden, cuz he was too scared to fight. he avoided the question when asked where he was, meaning he wasn't okay with it. but, hagakure said she was with todoroki, and just wasn't seen due to her quirk. but, that doesnt add up either. todoroki froze the entire area the second he got there, meaning she would have been too. out of her and aoyama, her story is the only fishy one. But, all this is just opinion and theory, until we get a, if any, confirmation (edit: took out an extra apostrophe)

Even though this is a Great Chapter for Bakugo's redemption arc for bullying Izuku in the past, I cannot get over the fact that many of the Toxic Fans are going crazy over Mineta's bromance for Izuku recently.
Honestly I dont really check for anyone in the fandom except my friends cause a good amount of them are toxic.😅 I still am trying to figure out how they think mineta likes izuku like that. Mabey it's the version they read.
I don't know if anyone noticed this parallel, with the theme of not letting go of deku again and what deku does during this whole ordeal and when he hears all this people rejecting him and it is a parallel to eri first of how she sacrificed herself because how overhaul hammer in her head that if she was near anybody she will only bring suffering so when deku finally got a hold of her telling i got you and im not letting you go again. uraraka mirroring deku when he got eri and it makes sense because the question at the end apears at the end of the overhaul arc. It so cool all this parallels
Sato and Deku’s interaction about Food coloring actually was mentioned on screen it was in an episode around the end of season 4 before the hero billboard chart episode
This chapter is the peak of each characters determination to do their best...proclaiming their undying loyalty to Deku and to each as their willing to do anything to keep each other safe n Alive!
Deku really *didn't* even change his mind yet, he just passed out after Bakugo apologized. And was still ready to leave when he saw the citizens. He still hasn't been saved yet...
I'm still interested to see Izuku's going to complete One For All. I believe the 2nd user is testing him and waiting for him to break the curse and come into his own. I just want to see how Horikoshi develops his character from here on out.

Now to add the voices of all of the civilians he had saved, such as the tall mouse lady, Eri, and Kota. I don't think the crowd rejecting Midoriya would listen to heroes, but they may listen to their peers.
Honestly towards the end of the chapter tho, I ended up imagining a scene were after the crowd was protecting to let him in, I visioned his mom, Inko, running and pushing past towards the gate yelling out to him.
This chapter was insane in every panel. It's definitely one of my favorite chapters in hundreds of chapters in multiple manga. Also are we going to ignore that Deku literally used danger sense tell that it's noisy with civilians and that they don't want him there?
Don’t try to do everything by yourself, Deku is stronger than before, he has much more power, but as a result he has seemed to have lost sight of something extremely important. We most all remember why the students of UA stop looking down on him, and accepted him as one of their own. It’s because he understood them and fought for their acceptance. @@jase276 I wouldn't say that. Deku admits to himself that Bakugo is his friend and the most important person in his life, stated during their fight. Its the reason Deku always followed after Bakugo. Also other classmates and teachers state they have far more in common than they let on, aside from attitude. The problem was, Deku admired Bakugo too much and never understood him. Bakugo was jealous of Deku's mentality and put him down out of insecurity but never understood why until now. Now that they don't see each other as goals to beat but people to rely on, hopefully their real feelings will start coming to the surface.

I do think Uraraka will be a thing with Deku pre-finale fight. But more for her literally being his strongest support. Not just for simple romantic thing happening in the show. And it never has been BECAUSE of how their dynamic built. We’re a ways out from anyone having to worry about it getting too schmaltzy so long as Deku remains in this mindset.

Omg. I was so impressed by this. I am all for Bakugou and his character development arc, but I felt like it wasn’t fully real until he apologized, and he did! And omg! I am very much satisfied after this last chapter.

This chapter was for sure the best so far it showed so many more elements than I ever thought My Hero Academia would ever show. When I first started this show I thought that it was going to be sweet and heartfelt but seeing thing chapter I felt things that I only felt in anime like Tokyo Ghoul and to me that says something and this really makes me happy and I hope to feel all these deep emotions the happiness sadness I hope to cry all the tears when this all gets animated.

This is the single best chapter of the whole series hands down. The paneling, the transitions from childhood to present day and the flipping emotional payoff of it all was a thing of beauty! AND THEN WE SEE 13'S FACE!! and to cap it all off, Ochacko renews her vow to be the hero of the heroes! Horikoshi, my heart was bursting after this chapter!!

If im gonna be honestly i still dont like that deku got to get away with just chasing and following bakugo around for years before he just decided to stop. He was in a way harassing bakugo and i saw that as why bakugo even started bullying him since he didnt bully him untill we saw deku continue to chase him.

I like Bakugou's character but his shortcomings are his own.

When those people were shouting about Deku, I was done... I just wanted someone to shout at them. I wanted Deku's Mom to take Present Mic's Mic and shout out a lecture at them. Can you imagine how emotional of a scene that would be, her shouting they don't deserve to be protected if they are unwilling to protect their protectors and kick out a child so tired, beaten, and battered.

The big thing to note though is despite all this - *Deku has not been saved yet from his mentality.* He was still ready to leave on campus. He just lost since he was tired, no one yet convinced him to stay around. Since the narrative went out of its way to show his harmful mindset, I really do hope it spends its time to address his poor mental health and how that aspect can be better resolved... Hope that is not skipped over and we get his own internal reflection on things to transition to show that development for his character.
Or maybe that he becomes a villain by exhausting himself trying to do all the right things, losing himself in the process. The other 'One For All' all died young so maybe they all had the same ambition. (I'm still trying to tether the outcome of where this is going so I could be wrong here) Eventually Deku becomes a god and can no longer exist in the world.

Honestly, watching Uraraka holding Deku's hand was like a breath of fresh air. Not for ship reasons (although I do ship them), but primarily for comforting reasons. The boy needed a friggin hug. Or at least some sign of physical affection. I really hope she keeps holding his hand throughout the rest of the series. He's gonna need it.

Deku is not saved yet, he's still sad and feels dead inside and is mirroring Eri and needs to be saved emotionally still and still hasn't smiled once. He wanted to turn around, especially when he saw the crowd and said he doesn't belong there and the crowd to him proved his point and he was ready to leave and would have made Bakugos apology go to waste. Uraraka stopped him successfully and now will give an emotional speech next chapter and save Izuku emotionally and inspire him and the crowd and bring hope back to Deku and the people, and save their hearts and make them smile. Bakugo was never one of my favorite characters in the story, he was honestly one of the ones I really didn’t like, especially in the beginning. But after seeing him apologize to Deku, something he seemed to be too arrogant, prideful, and stubborn to do, I can honestly say he’s starting to rank higher on my list. That is one of the two things that I’ve been waiting to be said to him in the series for a long time. The other hasn’t happened yet, but we all know she has to say it eventually.

I'm sure there's gonna be people who are "HeS oUt oF cHaRaCtEr" but they would have been right if this was Bakugou in the much earlier parts of the series, which isn't the case. First or even third season Bakugou wouldn't bother to apologize, but current Bakugou or him in the next season or two seasons might, and he did.
Honestly, I thought this was 100% in character for Bakugo. He always does everything all out. To give Midoriya a half-assed apology would be going against the core aspect of his character.

Sadly I HEAVILY disagree. Bakugo has not changed Izuku. It’s the same as before. Izuku changed Bakugo for the better BIG time. And Izuku changes EVERYONE. But the amount of impact others have on him? Sadly quite minimal. BUT, now that he’s apologized, he’s opened the door to reconcile. To ACTUALLY be his friend.
Izuku is not saved. That dead look in his eyes remains. Once he’s patched up, restocked, and rested, he’s gone. He was STILL trying to get away at the end. It’s honestly pretty amazing how well written the character development is. Deku and Bakugo are very much opposite of each other if you really think about it. And their paralleling each other’s growths. Deku has to learn to be more selfish (in a good way), and Bakugo has to learn to be more selfless. Absolutely amazing job, Horikoshi!

@@sugamadre9839 Vegeta started the same way, he thought he was entitled to being the greatest just because of his royal lineage. He started to work hard when he saw Goku surpass him naturally. Bakugo is definitely in the same category of character development as Vegeta has seen. That is why they tend to be the favored characters because you see actual progress. The main characters like Goku and Deku seem lame in comparison because they offer the same non growth nonsense. However people favor them because they know plot armor protects them and will always pull ahead of everyone else.

I felt very much the same way: the loud part of the crowd was acting more like villains: not accepting responsibility for their own situation/weakness (relying on others), and being willing to make/let others suffer for their own selfish reasons. I do think that there was a part of the crowd that was willing to let Midoriya in (they were the first to say that the principal guaranteed their safety), but they were drowned out by the crowd that wasn't (they would only trust the guarantee if AFO's target wasn't there), and I hope they were a minority, but it only takes a really, really loud minority to drown out a quiet majority.
Personally, I think that, if anyone is going to change the minds of the ones who want Midoriya out (based entirely on a rumor and assumption, no less), it would have to be the civilians and children who Deku saved, including the tall mouse lady, Eri, and Kota, and maybe even Mama Midoriya) who do it.

@@jase276 I wouldn't say that. Deku admits to himself that Bakugo is his friend and the most important person in his life, stated during their fight. Its the reason Deku always followed after Bakugo. Also other classmates and teachers state they have far more in common than they let on, aside from attitude.
The problem was, Deku admired Bakugo too much and never understood him. Bakugo was jealous of Deku's mentality and put him down out of insecurity but never understood why until now. Now that they don't see each other as goals to beat but people to rely on, hopefully their real feelings will start coming to the surface.

I do think Uraraka will be a thing with Deku pre-finale fight. But more for her literally being his strongest support. Not just for simple romantic thing happening in the show. And it never has been BECAUSE of how their dynamic built. We’re a ways out from anyone having to worry about it getting too schmaltzy so long as Deku remains in this mindset.
