I can't believe I stumbled on this movie out of the blue. It just grabs you by the cajones from the get go and doesn't let go. Very well written plot line, visuals are fantastic and the actress absolutely killed it. Highly recommended.
I agree. Good acting is alfa & omega in this kind of film and she really nailed it. The music in the end released a lot of feelings in me and it still does when I hear it. Solid 8 ++

I am so glad I am not the only one who doesn't like random sex scenes. They're so awkward. It's why I watch more Korean and Japanese series and movies nowadays because American movies are full of unnecessary sex scenes that don't further the plot in any way.

If Brit Marling was in it, then the character would be the last healthy woman in the world, who was also a top level scientist, whose task was to solve the disease which had compromised everyone else on the planet. No! There's a disease which makes people lose their memories and Brit is a brilliant scientist who was just about able to build the pod before she succumbed, while simultaneously on the brink of curing the disease, and now with the help of the pod she has to finish the cure to save mankind. I think she's great and I love her work, but she's always a martyr/saviour.

If this movie was to do the exact same thing as 'Buried' I'd think it was a rip off of 'Buried' however because of the other locations it seems that the audience will get some breathing space.
People need to realize this is a french movie. I mean the VO is in French. When I started the movie I knew it because of the way french people speak (My first language is french too…). I also tried to watch it in English and seriously it was not that bad. Don’t know why you are all complaining my dears…
Alexandre Aja is always a must fof me. Loved his horror movies and thought the 9th life of louis drax is extremely underrated. Netflix as always never running out of promising content.
This would be a good film for a theater. It does a really good job of pulling you in to the main character's state of mind. Reccomend to watch it at night w/o a lot of distractions.

Great movie, I really enjoyed the concept. I was going to say the voice acting of the people she was communicating with were not remotely convincing. Then I found out from these youtube comments that the movie is originally French. I'm surprised I didn't notice when she was speaking. Either way, someone needs to raise the standards on english voice acting for these foreign Netflix shows. lol

I am claustrophobic too. But this wasn't bad. The first few minutes were anxiety inducing a little. Remaining time, i didn't even remember that we were in a box because the story is so good and engaging. I totally loved it. You should give it a try.

I had sleepless nights after getting a MRI scan. First realisation that I am claustrophobic. This movie is going to be a nightmare for people like me, lol. It looks great though, but sucks that I don't have the courage to watch it 😣☹️
Oxygène (2021) is a 2021 French-language science fiction psychological survival horror film. A woman awakes in a futuristic cryo-chamber with no idea of where she is or how she got there. She can’t even remember who she is, going only by the monicker Omicron 267. But the real problem is, her pod is rapidly running out of oxygen. My thought after finished watch this film; It is a phenomenal science fiction thriller with a complicated mystery. The continuous unknown in combination with the well-timed plot twists keeps your attention until the end. Hugs respect to this actress, Mélanie Laurent that held the whole movie on her shoulder splendidly. However, if I truly want to be nitpicking then it lacked thrills, and probably need more of momentum to get the audiences truly immersed. I'll rate it as 7/10. Worth watching.

I've watched this movie. And it felt like I was with her in that pod for almost 2 hours struggling to survive. I actually had thoughts already that she is not a human cause no human will ever volunteer to be in that pod to go to another planet that takes lightyears unless you wants suicide. My favorite part is seeing her with no memories at all in her past yet knows how to interact with an AI with complex terminologies. Love the movie. Melanie Laurent nailed it!

People are commenting about being in French. I saw it on Netflix, dubbed in English. Because of the way the film is set up the dubbing does not really get in the way as it is really hard to tell it is being dubbed, they don't focus on her mouth that much, the dialogue she has with others is over the communication system, thus you don't see the person talking, it is dark at times.

I just watched it. Can't describe the acting in words the best scientific thriller movie i have ever seen in a while. 7/10 highly recommended please go and watch but the ending was sad.

I am claustrophobic too. But this wasn't bad. The first few minutes were anxiety inducing a little. Remaining time, i didn't even remember that we were in a box because the story is so good and engaging.

My thought after finished watch this film; It is a phenomenal science fiction thriller with a complicated mystery. The continuous unknown in combination with the well-timed plot twists keeps your attention until the end.
Hugs respect to this actress, Mélanie Laurent that held the whole movie on her shoulder splendidly.
However, if I truly want to be nitpicking then it lacked thrills, and probably need more of momentum to get the audiences truly immersed.
I'll rate it as 7/10. Worth watching.

I've watched this movie. And it felt like I was with her in that pod for almost 2 hours struggling to survive. I actually had thoughts already that she is not a human cause no human will ever volunteer to be in that pod to go to another planet that takes lightyears unless you wants suicide. My favorite part is seeing her with no memories at all in her past yet knows how to interact with an AI with complex terminologies. Love the movie. Melanie Laurent nailed it!

People are commenting about being in French. I saw it on Netflix, dubbed in English. Because of the way the film is set up the dubbing does not really get in the way as it is really hard to tell it is being dubbed, they don't focus on her mouth that much, the dialogue she has with others is over the communication system, thus you don't see the person talking, it is dark at times.
