I mean, they broke up much later but these things usually happen gradually and this album was full of love-troubles type of songs. This one talks about loosing someone because of the succes, another one literally talks about living in the different timezones. Trastevere is a district of Rome.

In reality this song was born in 2021 only as an acoustic version, the demo was just Damiano and Thomas and they presented it during the concert in Rome, at the Circo Massimo. In reality there was never a part for bass or drums: it was born only with the guitar. It is called Trastevere like the neighborhood of Rome where Thomas lives because Damiano said he wrote it at the guitarist's house in a difficult moment: it is the story of a sort of pact with the devil, perhaps the star system, to which they would have had to sacrifice life and affections in exchange for success... except that they are not at all willing to honor the pact!

Thx. The leader of the band, Vic, left them for a whole day, to record a track with Duran Duran, a cover of Psycho Killer by Talking Heads with 2 basses, (check that one out). This made the 3 boys write this very emotional "miss you boss" song. Disclosure: Might just be kidding about the latter part. 😀Peace.

If you like this song have a listen to the really stripped back version at Circo Massimo in 2022 (Stefano Goretti has best version) when it was still basically in demo form. It’s absolutely visceral and for me one of the best vocals from damiano, maybe even the best. I was there and he silenced 70k people more or less. I almost wish they’d just released it without adding another guitar as it was pretty perfect as it was. As for songs I don’t like - the only song I actively dislike from last 2 albums is supermodel. It’s the one that for me doesn’t sound like them. Their first full album I think I only listened to once or twice - to much kind of bland mor funk/pop/rock. They were literally teenagers though so I give them a pass, and some of the songwriting is solid but let down by cheap and dated production. Sorry for the novel but I love this band and it’s nice seeing people take them seriously. A lot of hardcore fans will say they lost themselves with rush but I think it’s a decent record with some amazing songs, one or 2 not so great and then supermodel right at bottom.

Это, в целом ,непонятная проблема альбома Rush - auto tune , обработка, будто бы "глушит' голос Дамиано, - в нем мало его дыхания, эмоций😒...
