Sweet 55, I love watching you all just getting ready decent cars for people! Small and large customers, no problem and we love it! You have to get in car but with the family's memories of sporting goods events and road trips. Sorry about babbling and I hope that you have a great evening and weekend, thank you for your time.

Very nice condition. Great price too. When I'm in the market for a classic car I just might have to take a trip to Illinois!

The first car that I remember my parents having was a 1955 Plymouth Belvedere 2 door hardtop. It was red and white with the V8 engine and automatic transmission. I still remember it.

What a beautiful car! My aunt didn't learn to drive until she was in her 30s, and her teacher, Mr. Connally, had a 1955 Plymouth Belvedere, with extra clutch and brake pedals on his side of the car. I was 3 or 4 at the time and thought that was the coolest ever!

Nice and solid looking 55 Plymouth, and yeah the paint is awesome. It would have been hard to buy a car in 1955/56/57 in my opinion as Chevy, Ford and Plymouth all made great looking cars at the time.

The 57 Plymouths and 57 Fords were completely different cars from 56. The 57 Chrysler products were bad rusters.

Thanks for posting Jeff! My dad bought a '55 Plymouth Savoy 2dr post NEW in 1955. No I don't remember when he bought it. I was only two! His car was the same color inside as this one. His was kind of a blue-green exterior. The thing I remember most is that his was a stick shift. Three on the tree. Yep. He had a V8 I remember that symbol on the hood. Another thing that car started rusting when I was in kindergarten in 1957. It had rust bumps around the headlight brows...yep..oh so long ago before most reading this were born...including Jeff!(-;..Thanks for posting!

That dashboard gear selector is a one year only item. 1954 cars with PowerFlite had a steering column gear selector. 1956 brought push buttons across the board and they continued through the introduction of TorqueFlite in 1957 until 1964.

The 241 cui. V-8 appears to have the poly-spherical heads. The Dodge starting in 53 had the"Red-Ram" baby Hemi of the same displacement. I thought the 55 Plymouth had a poly engine of 278 cui. Could they be mistaken on the displacement ?
