This Floridian was a little nervous for Daisy in the kayak, don't want to be a gator snack! I get nervous even walking my big dogs on trails near the rivers and springs, especially in mating season.
THAT's likely the rationale for the "No dogs allowed" sign. Prime gator bait.
We discovered Bill Frederick this past February and loved it there. We already have a couple weeks scheduled for next February. You weren't supposed to tell the secrets though! We left Fort Wilderness at $200/night to stay at this park at $20/night. Its a no brainer

This was a “home” video for me. We live in Melbourne Beach, stayed at the Sunshine Travel RV Resort for our first trip. Bought our toy hauler from Bama at Lazy Days in Tampa. Getting our favorite TH-camrs in one video is always a bonus.

Sebastian is one of our very favorite places to RV. We are located just north of you in Volusia County. Love the Sebastian sunsets. They are amazing!❤️

I lived in Vero Beach about 45 years ago and I returned there for the first time back in Florida in that whole time, it was pretty shocking how much it changed, it was more like a small town when I lived there
Well Turkey Lake used to be a secret lol. Been staying there for years. It's great when going to universal and a cheaper alternative to Fort Wilderness.

You are missing something if you don't go swimming in the springs! The water is chilly for the first few minutes then you get used to it. Another nice springs that has camping is Blue Springs State Park in Orange City - half way between Orlando and Daytona along I-4. Don't tell anyone!

Loved it, please come to East Tennessee a beautiful place called Unicoi. 50 miles from Ashville NC. And Ashville not far from Franklin NC. One of my favorite places in the world.

If you have never stayed at Fort Wilderness I highly recommend you do. Especially during the Christmas season. We traveled on our motorcycle for 16 months and tent camped there and didn’t leave the campground for four days because there was so much to see and do. We rented a golf cart to view the hundreds of sites that were decorated for Christmas. Now would also be a great time to visit.

Great videos of your travels. I picked up on Chad’s Navy references and the one that stands out for me is when he ‘Stows’ things away. I was in the Navy from 1971 to 1977 USNR and stowed things away often. Also polished a lot of Brass, none on my cap.
Changing lanes videos are very entertaining and offer great RV info from black and grey tanks to various internet connection options.

After watching this video me, my wife and 2 boys glamped at Bill Frederick over 2021 Jewish Holidays school off period and loved it. We went to Universal, then just Orlando'd around. Then we met our friends at Disney Wilderness Campground and did the whole Disney thing. Great time!

a tip on the blackstone griddle....go to the dollar store and buy some $1.00 dough scrapers...they fit along the side of the griddle to help block the wind...probably need about 7 or 8 for that 22-incher. Any updates on aftermarket rims to deal with the corrosion and leaking stems....from what I have found, rims for the duallys are in VERY short supply...
When you are in the area you have to go to Donut King in Minneola, Florida! Oustanding donuts just off of hwy 27 near hwy 50. When we visited family in Florida the trip was not complete until we went to Donut King.

Bill Frederick is a great park! Glad you found this one. We love staying there when in the Orlando area.
There are advantages to doing all of the outside setup.
Stayed there two years ago for a quick stop at Universal way our way to Big Pine Key and Key West. Was really nice to have a cheap place to offset cost of anything in the Keys.

The Bill Frederick park is a city park with only about 36 sites... and only 1/3 have fhu's. $7 bucks more and 50 amp and fhu at Themeworld.... the more level sites in the back. Paved. Swim pool. etc

I first heard about Bill Frederick Park from Ben and Christine of McMillin Express. Great location, about a mile from a shopping center with a Publix and a great Chinese takeout. Plenty of room for our Golden Retriever to roam.
I’ve lived in Martin County, Florida all of my 59 years and I’ve never heard of Bill Frederick Park. Wow. It’s only 2 hours away from me so now that the “cats out of the bag” I’ll be camping there next weekend. Thanks!!!! Lol.

To keep things from coming at you use bungee cords or curtain rods across the openings

We always hate leaving the keys!! Florida resident and I didn’t know about that campground! We have the SENA helmets and they work amazingly!! Great thing to have when you cannot wear bone conduction hearing devices! Going to check out that campground!

We stayed at Wekiwa SP for 5 days in January...We loved it.. There was a bear warning when we were there...We had our dog in the campground...I will have to check out Bill Frederick park for when we go back down to Florida next year..
We stayed at Bill Frederick in December of 2021 for 8 days $160. Best City Park with three frisbee golf courses, in season pool, And 1.7 mile walking bike path.
We are headed down to Fiesta Key RV Resort in June, by way of my younger brother's house in Ocala. We are mooch docking at his place, or we would check out this place. Maybe next time. My pup Benji says Hello to Daisy...
Another great video. I see you guys use walkie talkies. My wife uses her AirPods and calls my phone that’s bluetoothed to the truck. This way we are both hands free for me to drive and for her to jump up and down waving her hands and screaming at the same time when I’m about to hit something. 😂🤣😂
Also, a lot of the “no pets allowed” policies in the Florida parks is to keep you from seeing your pet eaten by a gator hanging out just under the water on the banks. It’s happened numerous times in the past. My aunt experienced it before and it’s heartbreaking.
Staying at Bill Frederick Park tonight, all I can say is wow and thank you for turning me onto this hidden gem.

Having lived in Florida for 35 years and retired Disney it is a wonderful in the winter. We spent 5 months in Florida but headed to Missouri for some fly fishing.grilled rainbow trout was about the best. Headed for south Carolina on Thursday. Then who knows. Travel safe. Robert Woods.

Looked like the ideal place to park the Rv and I would think if you have your own cayak that your Daisy is not a problem but for the other areas they obviously have not been enlightened. They should be allowed so long as good and kept on leash or in a portable carrier or something.

Wow this one really brought me back! As a boy I lived in Altamonte Springs and I would ride my bike out to Wekiwa in the summer (five miles one way) and spend the day there swimming and hunting for fossilized shark's teeth in the spring. It was out in the country in those days but it was (and is) a magical place. Thanks for the trip down memory lane. Keep doing what you do, many of us are RV-ing vicariously through you until we hit the road ourselves...

Sunshine Travel is our usual spot we bounce between Peace River, TT Orlando n Sunshine Travel as all my kids n grand kids live in vero.

I can't wait until I retire. This is what our plan is for retirement, and even the posts you do of issues/problems makes me excited to go! Unfortunately, being in law enforcement, I cannot work remotely, or we'd go, NOW!

I lived right down the street from Sebastian near the Disney resort on Cocoplum Ln., Sebastian what is the shark out but certain speak if there’s a shark it’s there that’s where all the kids go surfing it has the best wings in Florida
