Town Planning Part - 1: Importing Surface Data from Google Earth & Elevation with GPS Visualizer

In this first part of the Town Planning series, we’ll guide you through the process of importing surface data from Google Earth, assigning accurate elevation using the GPS Visualizer website, and saving the data as a CSV file. In the upcoming chapters, we’ll cover how to insert this data into Civil 3D and create a detailed contour map with elevation labels. Later in the series, we’ll demonstrate how to use DEMs in QGIS to assign elevation and generate contour maps. The series will also explore property creation, subdividing, labeling, drainage, roads, water distribution systems, parks, and other essential public services.
