The only mechanic in the world actually working on an authentic Offenhauser midget car chassis. Suzy's camera work remains outstanding. I love listening to Ivan tell stories about back in the day racing. Still interested in knowing if you ever knew or met Colin Chapman or Lola car designer Eric Broadly? Maybe when you are sitting in your easy chair in front of the model steam engine (my family were all railroaders) you could tell us some fabulous stories.

Wow quite a whirlwind episode! You chaps are so busy bringing us all these varied motoring delights. Ivan, I think you've got a terrific plan there to turn the Zenith into an outfit! Lovely honour to see your Caruso Midget in the Trust, well done! All the best and I am looking forward, as always to the next adventure! Cheers to Suzie for spectacular production & filming. Paul 🤓

The Ivan, Suzy and John show just gets better and better, what a team! Can't fault the work on the Offy, making it useable is the best thing that could happen, English people need to see it out and about in the shires

Have you thought about a cable actuated hand clutch actually on the shift lever? You could then have plenty of room for a right throttle pedal and a left brake pedal.

I've been wondering about that too.A motorcycle hydraulic cylinder may be easy to use compared to a 3rd pedal.

My favorite channel on TH-cam just brilliant. I saw the Norden LA CAL moniker on the Offy steering gearbox, not the same as the bombsight is it? Suzie is one in a million (or more) cheerful, mechanically knowledgeable, long suffering, enthusiastic, cinematographer, editor, and probably cooks well to boot. We love here along with John and Ivan. Thanks for all the enjoyment you provide.

Kurtis offered that car with a parallel torsion bar rear suspension. The cross bar rear was a later modification. Some cars used parallel torsion bars front and rear. There are several detailed books on the KurtisKraft midgets.

Thank you both for the tour about the workshop and events. I love to see the progress on the various projects. BTW, what happened to the TVR? I've watched every episode, and do not recall anything about the disposition of that car. It was interesting--but of course a bit out of place in the realm of vintage autos that is your garage. Still, could you please just drop a mention? Thanks again. Please keep up the good work.

27:41 Starting without a clutch is the hard part.
When they come into the pits after a race , they feather the throttle , bump the in/out box into neutral and coast into the pits.
No problem at all - it is always easy to get out of gear into neutral

Before they used pushtrucks, they would pull the car with a rope from the truck loop it around the front axle to the driver. Car would start, driver would let go of rope.

You can mail them a packet of Ivan signed certificates of authenticity one of which they could include with each shirt.

Fantastic!! ..Thank you for sharing such awesome information!!..I am starting a build of a 1928 Morgan/GN RIP Killer 3 wheeler with 4 wheels... I am making a restomod here in the states with a BMW opposed twin and the power plant connected through a hand cast aluminum adapter to an MG 4 speed manual gearbox and then to an MG differential with those awesome spoked wheels...Here is the original I am using as the inspiration. I will be putting the videos on TH-cam....th-cam.com/video/W9QMa7AUD-4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=VNjl-O6WcFjTpauk
