Via Suecia - Vasaloppsleden part 1: from Mora to the Eldris cabin

Vasaloppsleden is part of Via Suecia - The Swedish Trail. Vasaloppet started as a XC competetition way back, today you can bike or hike it. These 5 parts shows the trail from Mora to Högfjällshotellet above Sälen by. It is ment as a help for hikers on Via Suecia or other hikers/bikers. Nota bene: the hiking trail deviates sometimes from the Vasaloppet ski path.
It was filmed in November 2022, temperature was a few degrees belove zero.
Part 1 is from Mora to the first cabin along the trail, Risberg. This cabin has electricity, wood to warm you and water close by. Toilet.
The organization behind Vasaloppet has agreed to let Via Suecia have their blazes in Mora and Sälen. The trail is blazed with orange paint and is easy to follow. Often you'll find information signs telling where you are and distanaces.
There are no food shops along the Vasaloppet trail, so make sure you bring what you need. Next full scale shop is in Sälen by. In Evertsberg there is a self-serv shop (as of Nov 2022) and a cafe/restaurant/hostel (hembygdsgården) I can recommend. Enjoy!
