Hello, they gave me a kit of the Ferrari 312T (niky lauda) 1/12 Tamiya, would you be so kind as to give me the list with the measurements of the tubes and bars that you use in the construction of the Ferrari, in your video I see the work but I can't see the measurements (diameters, etc.) of what was used, Thank you
Sorry, I don't have any drawings or listings for the 312T. I built it by looking at photo books and website pictures. F1 cars are particular about the thickness of the pipe. And the way it bends should be natural. Then there is how to make the flanges. If these can be done well, it will be pretty cool. I own quite a lot of pipes. They are all different thicknesses, hardnesses, and materials. I take apart broken appliances and keep the cords that I can use. I line them up and use the ones that are close to each other, looking at pictures. It is a very fun process to get the materials together. I'm rooting for you!
I think the texture of the carpet and floor mats is too aggressive. It looks like a 1970's shag carpet ! A finer and lower pile I think would be more in scale. Great build so far ! Cheers.
Was this what carpet looked like in the 1970s? I was born there but I don't remember. The long fur is a mistake, but if what you say is true it might not be a bad result. Because I would like to make the body color 70's style.
@@12percent_on_the_desk Back in the 1970's shag carpet was the "in" thing. It was in homes and custom car interiors. The carpet had long "Tufts" ( length of fibers sticking out from the backing giving it their "shaggy" look) . It was popular for custom van interiors and show cars. Performance, muscle cars and stock family type cars still had the same type carpet used today ( low cut, loop fiber ) . I built and owned many muscle and high performance cars back then and no one would have used "shag" or "deep cut pile "carpet in their rides. A finer flocking material would look more in scale and not like an "overgrown lawn" in appearance . After all the beautiful work you have done I was a little shocked when you put that material on ! It just looks wrong ? This is just my opinion on this stage of your build, please don't get mad !
@@joemoore4027 I see! I didn't know there was such a fad for carpets. You are very knowledgeable. I don't intend to make show cars. But I've glued it so tightly that it's dangerous to remove it. It's a little unsightly, but I'll just keep working on it. Your advice is much appreciated. Keep up the good work!
@@12percent_on_the_desk Anytime I can help is my pleasure ! I've been building for 60 years now and still work on my kits every day ! Seeing how skilled you are I would go to the trouble to redo the carpet at any cost, It is something a person will first see when looking into the interior ! I know you can do it !!
That was some of thee most exceptional scratch building I’ve witnessed, truly spectacular!
i wasn't really impressed with the carpet at first but then damn that turned out great!
Thank you very much. I had a lot of fun working on this one.
It is literally "ZERO" remains from original Revell kit :-) Absolutely brilliant!
Very creative and clever and gave me ideas, thanks 12%

08:55 Hi! If I understand, you cut the aluminium sheet with a blade. Right? Which thickness is the aluminium? Good job!!
That is correct. The thickness is about 0.2 mm.
But it is not aluminum. It is a steel plate plated with zinc. This is the least expensive.
Superb work.
Yep this is Art

Just realized that 1/12 was the scale not the part.... Haha.
Hard to tell, isn't it? Sorry.
@@12percent_on_the_desk Not really, I have watched 15 episodes and the number has been the same. Just didn't of it ;)
Wow!!

This is off the wall.
