As a side note, I typically completely cut pin 4 and 6 off and drop the pins out. Then there is no chance of shorting out the mic plug is a wire frays or comes off and goes to pin 6. Cutting pin 4 off will allow your small side cutters access to pin 6. If you cut them flush with the base of the plug, the pins will fall out the front.
Great idea, I was going to talk about that but I figured people would jump all over me if I did. This is a great way to avoid problems when wiring this mic.
