The Hawiian War Chant is not a chant or a song of war. It was a love song. It was written by Hawaiian Prince Leleiohoku, brother of King David Kalakaua and the last reigning monarch, Queen Lili'uokalani, who wrote the song Aloha Oe, which was written by her after she was deposed and during her confinement. BAO does a very credible job of performing it. Today the song is mostly performed for Hawaii tourists.
I haven't got a CLUE what the lyrics are about, but I have to say that I did find it to be entertaining! To those who may be offended by this rendition, please try to remember it is ENTERTAINMENT! :-)
Whoever MIXED this (sound technician) she is singing harmony; he is singing the song--- yet her voice overrides his! The lead singer always is preeminent over the acoustic harmony.
