I'm from Switzerland and have seen BAO twice, live on Skansen. I have taken the long way just for this: to see and hear Benny and his "Crew" live on stage. These two evenings will stay in my heart forever... - Oh how I wished also being part of this only concert 24 at Cirkus!... Now I found this on youtube, and again I was so touched by all these wonderful melodies, by this joy of singing and playing... - I just have no words. Thank you inomadi, thank you Helen, Tommy, thank you BAO, and above all thank you Benny for your incredible, wonderful and touching music - and of course thank you Björn for the lyrics in which we all recognize ourselves - I just love you all! 😍🥰🤩
Oh, I've been on their concerts in Skansen twice too (travelling from Poland). In 2019, their last before this Cirkus one, if I'm not mistaken. And in 2011, it was in a smaller place, like a provincial dance floor, absolutely fantastic.

Tonight came back and I've felt it in my heart from song one. Simply love what is gathered, like a bouquet of wild and familiar too, flowers being put together. One straw, a delicate leafy branch. With every trace of beauty I could perceive, known and unexpected. Another colored Astromelia, one fragrant and deep colored rose. Oh! yes, so many velvet tinted roses! Each made me breath in with gratitude. What level of maturity and care is displayed here! I feel that Gershwin, Porter and those other few great ones would have enjoy and gifted us audiences such sum of marvels as dear an fully satisfying experience if reunited with their dear musicians on their songbooks. This time though it is 2024 and the varied influences from the deep chanson Francaise, and other European traditions, plus the full heart on and adult dance experiences... made me wish I was on a special emotional moment of my life to be in there at the dancefloor, or with some extra help to let myself go into the emotional conveys being gifted, one after the other. Like a flower or a stem being added to a garland. And also yes, for those of us who were attentive and possibly a little disorientated with Klinga Mina Klockor, coming from deep ABBA listening, there are here many little treats and references other casual onlisteners may let pass unnoticed, and we'd treasure and I am guessing many others I actually missed, since have yet to attend a BAO concert myself. However, how to miss these elongated melody lines, the full-of-sense and doubled bridge return, to mention just a few of the many qualities of Like a Broken Mandolin? Or Benny's dear choice of chord changes, in full display at many places (specially as his latest compositions) and that I received full heart opened? No need of a good wine or delicately bubbled drinks to appreciate such. It all would blend well, for sure, with each personal choice of heart opener. I look forward to future dimensions where this music will deliver its gift, starting by its many exemplary takes and lessons condensed and called for... With kind gratitude

Benny the Rocker and his Comets chose to play "Why did it have to be me" and "On and ond on and on" in this concert with BAO, from the whole of ABBA's catalogue. It says a lot about his legacy and that start of his career in The Hep Stars and how he still values that period in his life.
ABBA Björn was on tv today,he is NOT happy about artists today,doing & playing copys of their songs & get paid for it & I understand him. There are ofcourse rules & " all rignts reserved" songs.,he said"they never called & asked us if we think it s ok". Our Swedish Molly Sanden is today singing a copy of "Gimme a man after midnight",has been played many many times last months on our radio,as an example. It s ABBAs song,not hers ..
I understand what you mean but it wouldn’t work i’m afraid… It would be so hyped up that people wouldn’t remember anything else and demand them to replace Helen and Tommy wich would be deeply unfair
