    Bunny is one of the most underrated bassists EVER. I can’t believe he isn’t popular like Marcus, Vic, or Jaco. Yes, he isn’t as innovative as them, but he deserves WAY more recognition for his AMAZING skill.

    Bunny is a terrific bassist. Unfortunately, he is underrated.

      come on...hes not underrated by anyone (whos opinion actually matters). CAB used to be (and still is) one of the biggest things in fusion. of course average randoms on the street and panta-clown bassists dont know or care, but... thats to be expected

    Bunny Brunel has got to be one of the best living bass players in the world. He and Jeff Berlin, Abraham Laboriel, Victor Wooten, Tetsuo Sakurai are on my top ten ever. Number 1 reserved for the one and only JACO PASTORIUS!!!

    i first though that it was Alain Caron.... no, I'm kidding.... both are great bass players, some of my favorites ones. Love Brunel's bass sound, as always. sorry for my bad english.

    When a player at their level there is no "better", you may prefer one over the other.

    Different strokes for different folks. All these guys are awesome and should be appreciated for their craft. What kind of world would it be if every bassist sounded alike. It would be the same as if we all spoke or said the same thing in the same voice. BORING!!!!!! No one is better than anyone else. We as bassists or musicians should study the masters, learn from them, even steal from them but never idolize them or put them on a pedestal (spelling?) Bunny is a bad boy though!!!

    It's a coated fingerboard like on a Pedulla Buzz Bass. Epoxy or polyester most likely.

  • @DampRabbitVideo

    Forgive me "Victor Wooten's fans" but Bunny Brunel is much better bassist, nicer music, perfect technique! ...Victor is just a showman!

  • @TEBrownMusic
    @TEBrownMusic 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    @turoniner Bunny Brunel comes much more from the Jazz idiom then Victor Wooten does... You cannot really compare the two. It would be like comparing Jimi Hendrix to John McLaughlin. Yes, maybe Hendrix plays more melodically... but McLaughlin is not "pure wankery" he is just playing more on the extensions of the chords... What you find tasteful and what someone else finds tasteful is purely subjective... Anyway, you cannot compare the two and hold them to the same standard.
