The OP's decision to stand his ground and never helping out his sister is totally called for because it's no longer his responsibility and never will be plus his parents should learn to help out their daughter and leave their son alone for good measure.
Last time I checked it wasn't the brothers responsibility it is the sisters responsibility to do that if family members want to help ok but the sister and family expected the brother to do everything and just take the insults glad the op stood up for himself
College students can be so entitled. Being an unemployed student means very little, and its not impressive. For 90% of them, it's a horrible decision that makes them look stupid, but they think it puts them on top of the social hierarchy. It absolutely doesn't. Its now more likely to harm you than help you.

She is OP’s sister not his daughter. Mom and dad had her, they need to take care of her. Teach her how to be a productive member of society.
