I have a SUZULI-XL7 2007 that I bought it new. It has 150,000 + (April 2024) miles on it. It has never been in any shops except for oil changes. I love it and I wish I could buy another new one.
I am so happy to see this comment! I bought this car 6 days ago and have been seeing alot of negative comments about it having a bad engine and timing chain issues. What are your maintenance routine for your xl7? I bought it at 142,000 miles and would like to have it for a long time.
The sheet metal and may be a few of the components were designed/engineered by Suzuki, but on the whole these were built off of the same platform as the Chevrolet equinox, Pontiac, torrent, Saturn view, opal, Anterra, and I may or may not be missing some others. This has the LY7 version of the 3.6 L V6 which was pre-direct injection. I own one of these, a 2007 with 150,000 miles that has been well-maintained.
@@wallydolly8146 change the oil every 3000 miles, and I use Castro edge full synthetic high mileage oil. I believe it takes like 5 1/2 quarts of oil or something, but that Castrol oil is actually some good stuff. Other than that I really haven’t had to do a whole lot else to it. When my sister had it at about 100,000 she had the trans fluid changed, and I might have that done again here soon because I’m getting just passed 152,000. But other than just doing an oil change and stuff like that, I put a new ECM in it and also a new alternator. I also have a video about this particular vehicle on my TH-cam channel kind of talking about what it is and just a brief little walk around pointing out some of the things about it because these excel seven vehicles are not very well known at all. and I really don’t think they are bad vehicles on the hole. They have the same transmission as the Toyota Highlander of the first generation I believe.
He said "under $10,000 dollars"...This is a Great buy! Nearly brand new conditionl I have this model in black. I've had to buy a battery & tires+reg maintenance. That's it! It was made in Canada by GM.
