Yeah I didn't like when they did that. Glad he went on with the story and didn't seem too phased by how the audience was reacting.

They weren't laughing because he lived in a trailer park. They laughed at the idea of there being a class system.

I think it makes him come across more down to earth and real. I shake to sometimes when getting anxious. ❤
As someone with bad anxiety I find this endearing and relatable. I'd be shaking a lot in this situation being in front of a live audience on TV.
This was back in 2011, it was pretty much the beginning of his mainstream career and his tv appearances, you'll hardly find him being a guest star anywhere before 2011 outside of the notebook press junkets. he was obviously uncomfortable which is why he pretty much semi retired after this, he only pops up from time to time when he has a movie. he only did like 8-9 movies in the last 12 years...
I always thought he had a hatchet-face till I saw in interviews. He's so cute and adorable when he's talking.

I am on the strangest rollercoaster TH-cam rabbit hole and no one prepared me for how unhinged I feel watching baby Ryan Gosling looking like a boy I’d be smitten for in 7th grade trying to sing next to Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera (who somehow looks unrecognizable and sounds nearly exactly the same as she does today). And the further I get in this rabbit hole, the more I remember why I (at ironically 7th grade age when I first discovered who Ryan Gosling was in Crazy Stupid Love) first fell in love with this actor because it feels impossible for such a storybook attractive actor to be this sweet and simultaneously this absolutely off the rails in his quietly chaotic charming energy
