I really appreciated that JMC called out that young women struggle more to identify a strong sense of call. I would have considered vocational ministry as a high schooler if I’d grown up in a tradition where women were allowed to teach or preach. I’m no longer in my 20s, but when it comes to teaching, I feel like I’m in the same beginner spot as a 20-something pastor. It’s hard not to feel behind as it’s only in the past 5 years or so that I’ve started paying attention to something I first sensed from the Spirit long ago that He’s clearly reviving. It took me so long to get to a place of understanding that God’s call supersedes the rules of any denomination.
