He really addressed the cynical way US politicians work, while we need politicians to work for the people, not against the other parts of society. You might not align on topics with him, but his goal seems to be to work it out, to get a result for everyone instead of creating endless stalemates.
I don’t believe in small government like he probably does, but there’s parts of that holistic vision that we can aspire to, there are parts of our life’s that government has no business in being. Those discussions would be fun to have with a guy like Kinzinger.

He's impossible not to like. He's brilliant, patriotic, and a man of honor and integrity. We don't have to agree with him, but only a fool wouldn't admire this man's history of service to his country and his integrity.

Being an Iraqi War veteran and serving his constituents admirably and honestly is no greater example of an American hero. Adam Kinzinger and Liza Cheney KNEW they'd be voted out of office for serving on the January 6th Committee, yet both of them had the courage to put patriotism before partisanship, and this is the TRUE definition of what a lover of America and its democracy should be.
Kinzinger is the gold standard of decency and All-American values.

Whether he is VP or not, they need Buttigieg stumping throughout the Rust Belt (his area) where he's quite popular and Dems' best chance of victory lies.

Even a defeat of Daddy Trump is a small setback for the fascist agenda. He's just the vehicle, there is an entire apparatus, hundreds of groups, and untold billions of dollars that will remain. Vote them all out. Just look at the gains the far right has made under Biden. Only by being reducing the GOP to small minority in the house and senate, can we fight this present danger.

Well said!!! My mom always told me to vote for the candidate who best reflects the things you want. She was a Democrat and even though she always voted for a Democrat for President, there were many times she voted for a republican candidate in other areas because they were more aligned with the issues that mattered the most to her. These days there are no Republicans left that I would vote for. If I am unable to find a Democrat to vote for than Ide rather leave it blank than vote for a republican unfortunately. There is far to much at risk for me to even consider voting for a Republican these days. I want to make the world a better place for my daughter. She has LESS RIGHTS than I did growing up and that is UNACCEPTABLE!

The real GOP is represented by Daddy Trump, his christo-fascist enablers, a compliant anti-constitutionalist SCOTUS majority. Nearly every one of them has betrayed their oath and the rule of law. Adam, and every R who defended our most basic values is gone. The "real GOP" will never return without suffering massive, historical, devastating, existential losses.
And most of us on the left might disagree with him on policy, but would respect him for what he stands for. 😊
I would certainly vote for him. I do have some different opinions on specific policy but would so much rather vote for someone who has proven that they would give up power to do whats right than someone who has no problem throwing the country under the bus for power. Same goes for Liz Cheney.
This is who I'd like to see Harris name as her VP. It'll never happen but Harris Admin should place guys like Adam back to service like other pass Admins like Bush, Clinton and Obama.

Just know that even though Liz Cheney and Adam Kinziger are true patriots, they also supported all of that legislation Trumplandia pushed. So there really is not a place for either of them in a Harris-Walz administration. WE can respect them without bringing back right wing policies into the White House.

People do change Cheney remaining a republican is not a problem, look at Bernie Sanders he’s not a democrat and is Chairman of the Senate Committee, he is oppositional to Biden at times. We can disagree in a constructive way. When we come to an agreement for the betterment of the country then democracy has won and we all benefit. Cheney, Michael Steel,and other republicans etc, have all brought their talents to the table.
I checked into being a poll worker an those people are worked like dogs. You start at 6am work till10pm and only get 30 min. for lunch the entire day. They usually are the oldest people in the world who really love this country. You do get paid...not much but its something...so be nice they are working their hearts out for you.

In Australia, people who work elections are paid very well. Yes it’s a big day, but you are doing your bit for democracy!
My (late) mother was a pole worker in Western New York. She used to bring the voting booth (mechanical voting machines) ballot -- tape it to the wall like a poster -- and talk to me about voting, government, et al. I was 8-9-10 years old and I STILL ask myself (as a 61y.o) "What would Mom say?"
I have been doing this for 15 years. I’m 58. It is hard work, but very satisfying. It’s also a great civics lesson into exactly how the voting system works in America.

Thank you. Love my poll workers. Have been voting at the same place for many years and the older poll workers remember me election after election. They are at our most basic and essential level of democracy.
My dad has been a poll worker since before he retired. It always makes me proud.

@@bgriffininsd It has been illegal to run a ticket from both parties, it has been since 1804. The last time that happened was during Jefferson and Aaron Burr. When whom ever came in second place was the VP. That election was a statistical tie which lead Congress to pass the 12th Amendment. The VP and President also can’t be from the same state.

While I would love to see these two patriots in a coalition cabinet, it would probably prevent them from ever running for office as a Republican in the future. Considering the current state of the Republican Party that might not be much of a loss. But I believe we NEED a two party system and their value as sane Republicans cannot be overvalued.

I would consider it, depending on who he ran against. I would consider it as I believe he would strive to do the best he could for the greatest number of people. The last eight or so years have shown me how much principles, ethics and character matter.
I am also a pole worker and I absolutely love it. I’ve helped people fill out the ballot open the door for the wheelchairs and just had so much fun hopping around and helping people I was there on The 2022 election , you could feel the electricity then and let me tell you this November it’s gonna be all over the place..and fun, to boot!
