I had a bad experience with JRA I bought one of their BM59s through Classic and according to JRA they had a lifetime warranty. When I received they rife and the first time I went to the range it sheared brass causing failures to extract due to how over gassed it was and the bolt release moving forward ever so slight and getting caught on the feed lips making it so I couldn't use the bolt release so me being a concerned buyer called JRA and they told me "that is the natures of beast over the phone" and that they weren't going to fix the $1,200 guns I just bought. I ended up taking it to a gun smith, got an adjustable aftermarket gas plug and had to mod 4 of my $50 mags to get it working to where it is today I had to spend almost $200 to fix my $1,200 gun that should have been covered under warranty by the manufacture. Fuck JRA

Why did you accept their 'no'? Why not pursue things, either getting someone higher up at JRA or contacting Classic to ask them to step in?

I had a similar experience with one of their galil clones. The rifle was out of headspace on arrival, and after arguing with three different people from their company over the phone I was able to get them to take it in for warranty repair. They used the same "nature of the beast" excuse on me. After I got the galil back I could immediately tell that they didn't give me a new barrel, but instead just tightened up the original one to get what little extra headspace they could. The gun would just barely pass on a no go gauge, so I tried to return it to Classic Firearms and they refused to take it back. I'll never buy a JRA product, or use Classic ever again.

@@misha5670 Did research on it and JRA has very nasty habit of not fixing their stuff plus didn't feel like arguing with a bunch of boomers who don't care about their product.

I bought a MAS 49/58 from Atlantic that was most likely refinished by JRA and imported by RTI. The bore was completely corroded to the point of being unshootable. I don’t trust RTI at all and disappointed that JRA would “put lipstick on a pig” and then call it excellent condition. Kudos to Atlantic for refunding the purchase.

'most likey' ? Are you sure JRA worked on that gun? If so, did RT give them a choice? I wonder if they had the authority to reject guns or no? Again assuming they even had any part in the whole thing.

Was stationed at an isolated NATO site in Northern Italy during the early 1970s. We were located with an Italian missile brigade and their infantry support company was equipped with these and NATO
chambered Garands. First time I fired an M-1 it was the .308 or 7.62 model.
