Well done on your offers and I’m glad you enjoyed your gap year! I’m planning to take one this year and it was nice to hear your advice on it :)

Congratulations on your acceptance(s)! I remember watching your videos last year which really helped me improve my mindset and be a little more confident in English Lit as I was really struggling with the content. When you applied to Cambridge during your gap year did you do anything different in terms of application? I am considering in this gap year I am taking whether I should continue studying creative arts or apply for English instead. If you could do a further in depth video on self teaching an A Level and reapplying to Cambridge for English that would be amazing!

Thank you! I'm glad my videos helped you :) I didn't do anything too differently in my application- I felt better prepared for the entrance exam this time though, since I did a few mock ELAT papers + tried to read/analyse a range of texts as practice. (I was focusing on my A Levels over the CLT last year, and according to my application feedback it was my entrance exam that let me down). It did feel easier this year, but I think that's because I knew what was coming and because I was more passionate about the interview topics.

I'll try and make those other videos ASAP for you :) You still have a few months to decide your subject- I'd say go with your gut on it. Even last year my gut was telling me to apply for English, and I think getting rejected pushed me to make that change.

what a level did u do during your gap year and did u have to pay to sit the exams?

Classical Civilisation, and yes I had to pay £158 for the exam & administration, some exams cost more/less though, so you'd have to check with the individual centre on that
