      I feel the opposite of your suggestion. Buying huge equipment is more of a hassle and way more complicated than using simple tools. I also don't know what a stencil machine is... Anyways this process in the video is a very common way to make stamps and block prints. I came here to see her carving techniques and tips.

    This is such a great idea, especially for personalizing stationary and for Etsy packaging! The smallest carving tool looks similar to a cuticle cutter, would that be something you could use as well to cut through the rubber?

      I assume you can use whatever tool works for you! I have used embossing powder and it works great!

      i'm not sure... there is a difference between the two so you prob could but I imagine it just might not do as good of a print

    Can I cut that with scissors instead of carve?

    • @SarahTypes
      @SarahTypes  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      it would be really really difficult, even a pumpkin carving tool would be better. You can find pretty inexpensive carving tools and might be able to find something like that at local art shops. I wouldn't recommend scissors.

    Wow you are making this sooooo over complicated - just use a stencil machine and cut out a design and use silicone to shape a stamp

    • @SarahTypes
      @SarahTypes  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +9

      1. not everyone has a stencil machine? (not sure what that even is)
      2. some people enjoy carving, it's actually very relaxing
      3. if you already knew how to do this, why are you watching? :)
