You know what really made me cry of all sonic animations and fangames: 1.sonic.exe nightmare beginning bad ending. 2.THIS. 3.Where was my hero comic story.
It's a really interesting concept. With a more neutral tone it could be the premise of a game. Sorta like a setting where Tails' whereabouts are unknown and the doll shows up with abilities like the ones seen here. Sonic blaming himself is a good touch too - but of course going as deep in a game would cause a bit of confusion as to which audience it's really for.
I think he just made it that way cause some sonic fans don’t know that much about him like classic fans do most sonic fans know green hill other then that this place does look a lot like emerald hill in some points it’s a mix of emerald and green

Tails reminded me of Anakin from Star Wars. That "I Hate You" part in my imagination sounded like he just fell into the dark side and killed the one who took Tails in to be his friend or even brothers. Time Fox, you've done it again with this cool animation! ;)
I believe that Sonic was inside his own mind and that Tails isn't really Tails, but a physical embodiment of Sonic's self-doubt that is constantly haunting Sonic mentally. And I also think that at the part where Sonic had kept tripping and falling, I think that it was meant to show that Sonic is trying to run from the terrible incident and is trying to forget it but can't run away from them and thus 'falling', It's as if it's... Slowing him down.
Thinking about it; it isn't truly his fault for having Tails die. Despite being a hero, he still isn't perfect and tried his best. He still fulfilled his promise, but alas, it does make sense that he still blames himself. I don't entirely get why Tails is so angry about it. Wouldn't he be the one who knew how HARD Sonic fought despite him losing? It's like me fighting a god-like being and losing, only to have my family killed as a result. Would it be fair for that to be justified? Honestly, I don't know. Maybe it's over analyzing the plot, but just a small nitpick. Otherwise, still a great show! Sonic better be fast too, just in case any of his friends are next. WHERE ARE YOU SILVER

So he was caught in a depression pretty much, stuck on the same loop of grief in which a person will find itself when they feel like they are to blame, that's a good representation, as well as his subconscious using Tails to show his disappointment towards himself.

I am thinking that sonic now, wanting his nightmare to end, needs to stop his own invasive thoughts from getting worse, or else, he might be doomed to be stuck within a nightmare. Tails has no one to blame for his death because he is dead in the story. If his desire to stay dead continues to either get longer or shorter, then, he finally had became everything surrounding him. Only then to transcend above reality and now has access to another reality.By then tails would finally be able to have peace, and nothing harm him anymore, only then to realize that it might be scarier than having a hell. But then, suddenly become rather, The reality that we are all living in. Actually it makes sense why Sonic hates himself for failing to save Tails, in Sonic Lost World, (Here’s your spoiler alert) Sonic, Tails, & Eggman find a capsule, Sonic acting on impulses jumps at it, but Tails realizes its a trap and jumps in the way, and gets hit by Sonic, and enters the capsule, and before Sonic could reach it to save him, it teleports, and he hates himself, (and is extremely hostile to the Deadly Six) until meeting up with Tails near the end of the game. I really found these two different events really similar, and I wish there’s a sequel for this that has Sonic getting over it, because I can’t stand seeing someone beating themselves up for something they most likely couldn’t prevent. Otherwise, nice animation!

Per gli italiani, i sottotitoli in italiano sono pieni di errori, se sapete l'inglese sforzatevi di leggere i dialoghi inglesi, quelli italiani ad esempio in minuto 5:00 la traduzione sarebbe tipo: "e io non posso perdonare me stesso per aver lasciato che quel pupazzo ti uccidesse" non *dimenticare* , bensì dimenticare è forget, lì c'è scritto forgive
