Great tips. I finally bought some netting a month ago and eliminated the issue with the thread going under the base, wrapping around the base and getting stuck. I also wrap both tension devices a full turn with the thread and yes that solved my tension issue. In general my experience is similar to yours. It took me 6 months to get it tuned in but now I use it 5 days/week sewing sheaths.
I know this is an old video, but wanted to ask how good was that netting ? Did it stretch and go back to normal fairly good? Just noticed some of the netting will stretch then stay that way. Lol
Actually, I just posted this video, but the machine is an old one. The netting seems to be holding its shape well and it is indispensable (and cheap enough) in keeping the thread under control.
