New filter is XWFE, says Genuine GE, and is labeled the same as original. However the plug-in end looks different, and my water/ice do NOT work. Reinstalled original; it works.

Is there any way to "hot wire" that anti-consumer bs I'm guessing the constant beeping the fridge decides to give off when the filter is "bad" because that's what I am dealing with. It's inconsistent on what beeps it does.. Sometimes it's just two... Other times it's 20+.

@@ddan1208 does your filter have the sensor because if not it won’t work without the sensor
I'd be getting rid of that sense of straight away to make it so that I can put any filter in and it won't fail

I ordered 2 original XWFE filters but still says Err
@@The_King15 it’s could be a issue with the control board if it’s under warranty contact Ge warranty for them to check it out
You’ll know you got the correct filter when you look at the price and think, $55?, WTF?
