I agree with rifle. It can do basically any other gun can do (besides be quiet). It can even deal with T-Rex easily because of the aiming sight, but only from a shorter distance.
I think pistol is very underrated. It has no price for ammunition, so you don't have to fear of dying and losing money. Also, while hunting dinosaurs like Gigantoraptor, Ceratosaurus, Chasmosaurus etc. I think pistol is very good against them. Just get into a mountain or anywhere dinosaurs can not reach and start shooting! I hunted 3 Ceratosaurus in one hunt while using a pistol yesterday, and I hunted 5 Gigantoraptor with pistol in one hunt today. The only downside is that Allosaurus and Spinosaurus can reach certain places with jumping.

I like how a shoot from far without missing shots, 1st AND IS MY FAVOURITE!:DB shotgun, one of my favourite weapons in CDH, like i can shoot without missing,

Its sad that t rex dont have sny competition in this game the should add giga or something else bigger so t rex could fight. I dont know Why They did to spino he was much larger.

Yeah i just played yesterday and i died to two spinos while i used a pistol
Honestly I just do it without that ( it's not that hard but I do get killed once in awhile*

I always use pistol everytime i unlock a new dino ( I also turn off everything except radar I turn tranq back on after)

They nerfed Spino s size because then T Rex would looked like a complete joke
