    Briiliant stuff. I model in 00 scale (1/72 - 1/76) but this almost makes me want to model in 1/35 - but then I'd need a bigger house! Can't wait to see the (ever expanding) diorama

    Pretty cool. Watching the series of rail models has given me an idea for my own "rail yard" diorama. Funny thing is, watching the assembly my mind was going on how to detail the interior and have at least one door open.
    Great job, but I noticed a couple things I think you missed and/or misplaced. One is, and I think what really stands out is the joint of the two roof sections, and the second is the hooks between the bumpers are the wrong way round. But still, like I said, pretty cool there Andy.
    I still dream of opening my own model shop some day.

    Very good job on this, I love the weathering effects.
    If you still need decals for this, I have some from a MiniArt train car that you could use.

    Andy I have worked on the railway in the u.k. for 11 and a half years, and seeing your 1/35 scale German train I noticed that the tirer's of the wheel's & the head of the rail should be silver in colour, as it would use a lot in a fright yard.

    • @AndysHobbyHeadquarters
      @AndysHobbyHeadquarters  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi yes I am going to do final weathering when i actually put it on diorama including the silvering around wheels, thank you for watching

    Nice build Andy, I really like the weathering especially the wood showing through the paint that looks great. Looks like there is a nasty seam on the roof though. Would this kit build benefit from some slow drying glue, that's for us mere mortals :) as it looks like you have no problems with the thin :)

    • @AndysHobbyHeadquarters
      @AndysHobbyHeadquarters  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi I never looked at the center seam as a gap, for some reason I just pictured it to just be the shape of the roof , but I think your right, I have decided to fill it and re-sand it. Its always good to have another pair of eyes to look at something. Thanks for pointing it out.
      Thanks for watching

    I know this video is old, but FYI for anyone building German railroad vehicles - Archer makes dry transfer markings for reichbahn vehicles. Best part is You don’t have to worry about decal slivering.

    This is looking better and better with every build.I was wondering why you didn't fill the gap between the 2 roof sections?

    • @AndysHobbyHeadquarters
      @AndysHobbyHeadquarters  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      the model had a slight lip on the roof section so I thought it was suppose to have a seam where they put it together , couldn't find a real picture of roof .

    Hello Andy .... I've found almost all the cars you've built for this diorama.... All except the box car ....where do I find one ??? ....

  • @DansModelBench
    @DansModelBench 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    Andy, as always a fantastic finish on that wagon. Just to let you know mate, that you have the couplings upside down. The couplings on those wagons are what we called "Screw Couplings" and the hook is faced upwards. You can see what I mean if you check out the picture here:
    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buffers_and_chain_coupler#/media/File:Eisenbahn_Schraubenkupplung_1.jpeg
    Another nice effect would be to put some bright polished finish on the inside of the wheels where they touch the track surface. Unless they have been sitting for ages, these areas always have a polished metal finish from the metal on metal contact.
    Hey I am being picky I know! Keep up the great work on the videos. I am really enjoying this railway theme diorama in particular.
    Dan

      @AndysHobbyHeadquarters  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi , you are right I glued the hook up side down , I got one right and spaced the other, I guess I would have noticed when I try to hook it to the other cars lol.I do also plan on putting a polished metal on wheels just didn't like the way paint came out going to try some polishing metal powder as soon as I get back in. Thanks for pointing out the hook , I'm going to change it as soon as I get to work .
      Thanks for watching
