absolutely beautiful - I really admire your ability to stick to your vision and build something like this from basically a glass cabinet! and you have an amazing sense of beauty in how you've chosen the plants and set them out really fantastic - I'm so inspired
I started watching him when I was around 15 or 16 i think. He's definitely a youtube og, i bet many of us have been inspired by him, and if you haven't, go watch his videos and you will be lol
Thank you! and yes I love talking ab other channels I enjoy because I feel like you guys would like them too. It's like recommending a tv show to friends lol. For my aquariums/terrariums I get a lot of inspiration from SerpaDesign and Foo the Flowerhorn. The aquarium that I show at 4:04 was a direct copy from his volcano tank. I posted it on Reddit a few years back when I made it and people thought I stole his photo. I took it as a compliment though lol
omg benji I have been waiting for this video! my cabinet has been sitting there waiting for me to build the terrarium! and this is the perfect motivator. All the plants are so absolutely beautiful and I love how much of an ecosystem it is within itself. I love the bugs, the CUTEST mushrooms, the passiflora is gorgeous... thank you so so much for sharing this project. It is amazing as are you! 💚
ikr?? the mushrooms are so tiny and they sprout up randomly and only live for around a week so it's always a joy to see them. I love the passiflora too! it grows extremely fast and is very hardy. I'm growing it out on my balcony, and in my home (outside the terrarium) and it's thriving in every location. The leaf shape and color is so pretty, it reminds me of a butterfly
@@benjiplant if you don’t mind me asking, where can one find the passiflora vine? Or what is the full name? If anyone knows, please inform me. I’m in love!
was feeling really uninspired by plants for a little bit but this reignited my interest again. thanks for showing how creative you can be with plants~!
Thanks for sharing your greenhouse cabinet to us!! It’s simply breathtaking 😍 I admire the thriving micro ecosystem you have created. It must be so cool to see how it will change and evolve over time.
I like your approach to things, I'm the same way. Glad we're not alone! 😄 The greenhouse is beautiful. I hope to try something like this in the future.
Hey man I just found your channel and Im already in love wid your plants and I've been watching all your videos continuously. wishing u all the success and love frm India
Just built my Rudsta and now I'm researching your videos to make sure I get all the needed supplies and steps in order. Thank you for inspiring me, Benji! 😊🌿🌱
Your videos are a balm for my anxious soul. Watching the growth of this cabinet from its start has been super educational! Thank you so much! Your new dog is so adorable.
Still beautiful and I understand why you took the waterfall out but it took away some of the magic. I love any kind of water feature and having one contained in a small space that I can look at when I want to makes me very happy.
haha i really do like them (they're not making me write this comment lol). they're different from any other grow lights on the market and address a lot of needs for houseplant ppl in terms of aesthetics and functionality
I really like your setup! Most people tend to putting too much stuff in their cabinets, like too many different colours that don't match that we'll, but yours looks really natural and balanced. Well done!
Gorgeous. Some little lizards or a turtle would make it a storybook fantasy, and maybe balance out the bugs. You should sell your idea to IKEA, it would be a wonderful gift idea for parents to encourage learning how to create and grow things with their kids.
I'm glad I found you I always wanted to grow moss but didn't know much about it. moss is very beautiful and even making them into aquarium is interesting so thank you!
This is very cool :D thank you for sharing this update. In the distant future I want to try to make my own cabinet! I’d also like to say that your videos have given me inspiration and courage to start making my own pant videos. You’re videos encourage me to be myself :D
Beautiful,so inspirational. Thank you for including details about the mother lights and the reverse osmosis water and fertiliser. I was also wondering about the Manis xx. I love Theo,he’s the most adorable addition to your home.
I was thinking of getting tree frogs and this is really good inspo for the kind of enclosure I want to keep them in. Your rhaphidophora hayi is thriving. Mine is dying lmao
You can throw a granule of Osmocote in each pitcher if you want to fertilize the Nepenthes. I figured it would burn them but California Carinvores suggested it in a video and it works well. The cabinet looks incredible. Really inspiring.
i was trying to grow them in a tupperware container and then i was like wait... why don't i just spread spores around in my cabinet. 3 months later i started seeing sporelings! I'm just not sure what to do once they get bigger lol
This IKEA cabinet is wonderful I have a question, do you have never given fertilizers cause you had the cp, so is all your lush green moss and plants sustaines themselves just with the decaying matter of the mosses? If not how do you cope with nutrients for the plants?
Wow!! It's looking so lush and beautiful that's so awesome you did such an amazing job !! I love how everything just pops I could gaze at it for hours 😍👍💚
Absolutely stunning indoor tropical greenhouse!, better than any painting/wall art (because it's alive!!!!), really excellent video........i'm inspired to try a smaller version, thanks! :-)
stumbled across your channel today! absolutely love how calm these videos are and i had to comment because i am the exact same in that i just do things and solve the problems as i go, no instruction manuals for me either (my partner evens me out though as he is very much to the book). amazing rainforest you've created here x
about halfway into this video i realized i fucked up at work, spent an hour sprialing, and then came back to this relaxing content lol so thank you benji
This is goals for sure! I’m newer to plants and super curious - is an environment like this prone to any type of mites or bugs? Or would those carnivorous plants take care of anything like that? Obsessed with your content now!
Love the cabinet, we have the same hobbies, thanks for all your videos. PS your blue and “brownish” button up looks super good on you! (Not trying to slid in your DMs either, just a compliment)
aaaa its so pretty!! i've also been quite interested in carnivorous plants lately so im planning on buying a sundew. i'm just doing a bit of researching first bc i dont wanna kill them in the end. do you have any additional tips?
they appreciate a tonnn of light and distilled water. other than that, they’re pretty hardy. also try to not get water on the sundew leaves, it can wash off the sticky dew
Man, that thing is amazing. I have plan to do something similar at some moment, but to put quite a lot of life there, like siders and insects, just a biosphere.
it'd be also so cool if you'll add a mist effect in your terrarium. but love how abundant your terrarium cabinet now compare before, amazing care you got there. 💙
This is growing beautifuly! You could add Tillandsia, it'd look great, they do so well in high-umidity enviroments. Also you could try that pink mushroom (Pleurotus djamor), it'd like your log.
It would be really awesome to hear more about the color of light in plant content. As I mentioned in another comment, I think the algorithm recommended you because I do watch Tanner, Green Aqua, etc - and something that would be neat to see is more examples of the light spectrum affecting plant display, and maybe how or where you’d use different lights to different effect. Admittedly, going into summer may not be the best time for this idea… 😂
It's 12:38AM here in the Philippines and I've got 7am class later but I really need to watch this ahahahaha ❤️❤️❤️
SAMEEEEE 😭🌸
Same!😂 i freakin’ love this guy! Especially his calm demeanor, super soothing voice and gorgeous, gorgeous curls! hahaha
It’s 2:14 am in London, I came across this just now and I refuse to sleep without watching this… ♥️♥️♥️

Omggg sess!!! I woke up at around 6am and mentally told myself i will watch his vlog after work and now im here HAHAHAHAHAH i love this for us
Oh my gosh! Your cabinet setup is like a fantasy, I imagined being a little fairy in there, it’s beautiful Benji.✨

I absolutely love how lush it became! The additions that you made really helped it grow!
Yes!! So inspiring! I'm so happy you brought up SerpaDesign as well!

An easy way to set up a pond fixture is to just bury a 2.5-5 gallon tank so that itself is enclosed/sealed.
The sundews are gorgeous
I hate to read instructions too but at least you figured it out. Your plant showcase really looks wonderful. 😊
