Field Trip Friday- Fruit and Spice Park (Homestead, FL) | Mediterranean Climate

We traveled to Homestead, Florida to tour the Fruit and Spice Park, an ethnobotanical park that is open to the public! The park has large collections of mango, avocado, banana, custard apple and bamboo plus many other wonderful fruits and spices from around the world. And the best part is that you can eat the fruits!
The resident horticulturalist, Louise King, was kind enough to take us on a tour of the park and highlight some special plants in each of the five sections.
The park is arranged in 5 regions:
