aka, bill and frank being the perfect post-apocalyptic odd couple. HBO's Last of Us episode 3 had a beautiful love story of COURSE I needed to make an edit about it.
He did. Like, I'm sure he genuinely loves Bill, but the fact that he literally owned a fortress neighborhood with running water and food doesn't hurt either
@@pandorabox5532 it's like what marilyn monroe said "Don't you know that a man being rich is like a girl being pretty? You wouldn't marry a girl just because she's pretty, but my goodness, doesn't it help?"
And then when he said "there is no girl" and Frank was like yup was 99% sure just had to double check, and then immediately goes for it lolllll Chad behaviour
I knew as soon as Bill awkwardly stood outside of Frank's shower after leaving him some clothes, his line of thought clearly was "there's a man naked in my house, oh shit oh shit oh shit"
Frank legitimately (and politely) intruded Bill's life both physically and emotionally and said: "Yeah I walked into your property now you are my husband and we're gonna have a fulfilling life with love, arguments and a whole pack of mariage life for the next 20 years then we'll be gone with life altogether. Thank you."
😂😂😂😂 same, even up until their last day i was like: uh frank you gonna say what your evil plan was all along or is this whole relationship thing for real cuz fck you look super committed in the role
Fr his first 5 minutes screen time I thought he was gonna pull one of those The Walking Death twists where the main characters try to help someone in need and the "helpless" person ends up back stabbing them and stealing all of their supplies. But I was gladly surprised that wasn't the case.
I love how both rendition of Bill and Frank's story has its own to offer. The game's version is someone who tries to hide the pain of their loved one leaving them with snarky remarks and jokes, and it mirrors Joel's recent lost of Tess, indicating that It could be Joel if there were no Ellie. The show's version showed that even in the most cynical world, there's beauty left to be found, and to reinforces Joel role of Ellie's caretaker, who will find meaning in fighting again for someone they love. Also, dad bod representation and burly gay men making out is just the right flavor to start a new year with
Mmm love me some bread on beard action that dad bod and his slender partner made me relive the battle of the bulge, in my pants. Wish I had a burly hairy man bear to tear into me like he did and make my cheeks clap and explore my Hershey highway.
You can't really put blame the makers of the game, it came out in 2013 people were pretty homophobic and it could of effect the game ratings, etc... But I am also happy they were fleshed out in the show and had a good ending.
@Retro Phantom Frog Yea I get it if this type of love was exposed during that time it wouldn't have gotten so much love from people. The only reason I comment this is because most people didn't realize they were gay even since it was so subtle. It's funny my dad who somewhat played through that level didn't really connect the dots to them being lovers such as other fans commenting that "Bill ain't gay" and other crap. And to make it clear I'm not trying to offend you or go against you. Hope you have a wonderful day or night.

Living in their own pocket of the world, their home, and dying together, old and on their own terms. Bittersweet ig is more fitting. Neither of them had to grieve the other’s loss and they went out peacefully in each other’s arms, in their own bed where they presumably remain un-disturbed, at least for a time. Not very fairytale ending but that’s usually because those stories end before the life gets lived, and I suppose most people’s ideal would be to die when they’re old at the same time as their spouse in their sleep.
I just noticed that the shirt that Joel will now continue to wear post Bill & Frank was the same shirt Frank was wearing when he and Bill had their first fight about decorating the neighborhood. And also, the gun that Ellie now carries is Frank’s gun too.
@@MariusBoss11458 technically it is, but it’s the gun that Frank keep in the consul for his personal use (the one he used during the night the raiders attacked) because it’s (probably) a Beretta which would make it easier for Frank to use… But I guess it was Bill’s after all. If you look at it though, Joel having Frank’s shirt and Ellie having Frank’s sleeping bag is cute. They use Bill’s gun to survive, and they use Frank’s essentials to live.
@@MariusBoss11458 no, I don’t think it was. To me, it looks like Bill was probably using a .45 cal pistol (like Colt), as opposed to the much smaller one that Frank used (which now Ellie has taken) which is most likely a 9mm compact (like the famous Beretta small pistol) which I’m sure Bill intended for Frank to use since Frank’s isn’t necessarily good with guns. Edited: Showrunners confirmed it was Frank’s gun.
A gay couple is still way less wholesome than a straight couple with kids in toe. And people complain about it because woke idiots have been trying for at least two decades now to brainwash everyone into believing that gayness and a straight family are equally wholesome... which is FALSE. i just realized that whenever people say gay ellie was forced whatever the fuck, people always bring up ellie being gay in the dlc but not bill and frank being gay in main game
I know i am late on this video nut this was the first time a Hollywood produced show actually made me care about the gay couple. Typically gay people in Hollywood are over-stereotyped or over dramatic and its a real turn off when they are. This was the first time being gay in a show was a characteristic and not the character. And I love it!
This shows the darker ending to the story, where Bill got so mad at Frank for wasting resources, risking their safety by talking to a stranger on the radio, then inviting them in and then trading his gun, that he commited murder suicide.
One thing I really love about this is to see a gay couple grow old together, in the apocalypse. As a gay person, it feels like a breath of fresh air to see gay people in the media that actually are in long, loving, committed relationships, with a somewhat happy ending (I was sad at the end, but compared to a fungus zombie biting you and devouring you from within, or a police fascist executing you, dying together old is a pretty good way to go), Also, I love how in the whole episode the word "gay" is not spoken once. It's not important to either of them that both of them are guys, but it is very important what these two guys mean to each other.

This is perfect, thank you ❤
I don't play the game, I didn't watch the show...but I might now! Frank is so sassy and Bill's dry, dead pan humour is beautiful. This might be my favorite pairing ever!
(Yes, I know how it ends. I did check before getting invested. Still love these two)
*“Bill and frank but without the parts that made me cry”*
Video time: *0:01*
at first i was afraid that he'd end up backstabbing him but damn this ep really surprised me alright
in terms of what life would be like after world ended, these two made the most out of it
also "everyone else would have been electrocuted or blown up by one of my traps heheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheh"
i just realized that whenever people say gay ellie was forced whatever the fuck, people always bring up ellie being gay in the dlc but not bill and frank being gay in main game
Frank really said "open the nyor"
This shows the darker ending to the story, where Bill got so mad at Frank for wasting resources, risking their safety by talking to a stranger on the radio, then inviting them in and then trading his gun, that he commited murder suicide.
That’s an edgy take if I’ve ever seen one
@@Creator_indy Thank you
I sobbed harder than I have in years watching this episode. It destroyed me.
The subtle acting on Nick's part is amazing.
Two wonderful actors.
I was actually so shook by the kiss scene I had no idea it was going there
