A short render I made whilst experimenting with liquid in Blender. Bake time was about 30mins and I'm not sure about the render because I wasn't at my pc.
u should make it so once it gets to a certain thinness it doesnt have particles anymore and just makes the surface more reflective where the water is. it looks like beads when it gets thin. idk much bout this stuff but i think it would look cool.
The water itself is rendered good, but I'm not sold on the satisfaction unfortunately. Too focused on where the extra water came from, the volume in the beginning is considerably smaller than the end product.
