Lucky Starzzz should have been in the top 2 imo, she offers a unique perspective on drag and she had a really entertaining talent and it was unlike other talent performances, which tend to be very similar, she’s my favourite so far ❤
This is my thing with Acacia's performance. She was middle of the pack for me, her song was very clever and she has a beautiful voice, but she went fast and didn't punch the syllables in the last words of each sentence. There is a rhythmic timing and emphasis on certain words so that everyone can get the joke was what she needed to take it to Trixie Mattel level. People were just trying to understand her and didn't have time to laugh. They were trying so hard to listen. It's a funny song, not a serious one, like her singing style made it sound

I did this for season 16, where I do my own Rate A Queen for each episode. For this: 1. Jewels (could swap with Suzie. It was an ‘expected’ fierce bitch track but a well-done one!) 2. Suzie (unique and well-done, and just great vibes. I liked that it was a mix of talent, humour, and charisma) 3. Lucky (funny and wacky. I think if it were up to Ru she’d win cuz Ru loves this type of stuff. I do think we’ve seen this type of thing done better before though - which is why it isn’t rated top 2 for me) 4. Lydia (loved the concept and the first half, but it got a bit messy and the end was underwhelming) 5. Acacia (decent singing, and an actual simple presentation of a talent, but missing something) 6. Arrietty (repetitive and I’m sorry boring. Lovely visuals and I like the cultural aspect but it was 1 minute of skirt waving) 7. Joella (baby I love her but girl, it was a mess I’m sorry. Song was fun and there as some humour but it was just wasn’t done very well)
This is valid but I'd swap 4 and 5 with your reasoning, to me presentation has to count more than concept. The quality assurance of Lydia's performance went more south than Acacia's song got haha
Arietty's cultural performance was nice. Its not a disrespect to the culture or country. But, its drag race...and the challenge at hand was a talent show. And, I understand wanting to display your culture, thats not the problem here. Its just that it was missing something to keep the audience and judges entertained. We kept interested and applauded because its a cultural performance, out of respect for the culture and country. And it was a good cultural performance. But it wasnt the best drag performance on stage

self-written songs and lipsyncs to go with them have dominated the talent shows since AS3 when they didn't limit the kind of performance. As iconic as some of those performances have been (Aja in AS3, Anetra in 15), most of the time it just fills space that could be used for more interesting things. Give me more Monet and Sapphira singing opera (the second of which even added humor with incorrect subtitles), give me Thorgy doing acrobatics while playing violin, honestly even acts like Jimbo's baloney ghost, bizarre as it was, are more creative and interesting than ANOTHER lipsync to a mediocre (at best, usually) song.
Drag Race can you please please PLEASE cast queens who can do actual talents other than "recording and bringing a comedic rap song from home" Its fine in moderation, but to have almost every performance to be a lipsync or an original pre-recorded song is getting REALLY OLD!!!

I'm from Mexico and I HATE how everyone in this episode made awuful comments about not just Arietty's performance but the dancing itself. It's a cultural thing in Mexico and it was beautifully executed by her. I don't know why other queens from other countries were praised and Arietty was brought down by everyone. I know it wasn't the best from this episodes, but it was good. The only thing that wasn't doing any good to her was performing after Jewels' act.

self-written songs and lipsyncs to go with them have dominated the talent shows since AS3 when they didn't limit the kind of performance. As iconic as some of those performances have been (Aja in AS3, Anetra in 15), most of the time it just fills space that could be used for more interesting things. Give me more Monet and Sapphira singing opera (the second of which even added humor with incorrect subtitles), give me Thorgy doing acrobatics while playing violin, honestly even acts like Jimbo's baloney ghost, bizarre as it was, are more creative and interesting than ANOTHER lipsync to a mediocre (at best, usually) song.

Drag Race can you please please PLEASE cast queens who can do actual talents other than "recording and bringing a comedic rap song from home" Its fine in moderation, but to have almost every performance to be a lipsync or an original pre-recorded song is getting REALLY OLD!!!
Why? Every time they show a real talent they end up being in the bottom. IT SUCKS, but that's the way it is.
I mean they are drag queens at the end of the day not circus performers or whatever
@leandromv170 i don't think it's a real talent thing i think it's just some people don't play up their talents enough, like with loosey and acacia they both live sang but let's be real it's not like they were in the 80th percentile of singers and the performances didn't have much else going on. Like if it was a Jan moment (ikik) then you'd have more of a case
You dummy this a tv talent show they don't have time to show actual acts at would take all day and cost too much money so they lip synchs to mutic are do acts that are not so long dummy

Lydia’s talent show reminds me of Willow pill’s, odd & makes you think twice about what you just saw, lol! I loved it. Also, poor Acacia. You actually show REAL talent and not one but two skills in which many people could say they never have….yet you get placed in the bottom?? Ugh, so messy and unnecessary of her sisters. Loved Miss Toot of course ❤️

I'm from Mexico and I HATE how everyone in this episode made awuful comments about not just Arietty's performance but the dancing itself. It's a cultural thing in Mexico and it was beautifully executed by her. I don't know why other queens from other countries were praised and Arietty was brought down by everyone. I know it wasn't the best from this episodes, but it was good. The only thing that wasn't doing any good to her was performing after Jewels' act.

ummm lets not play that. Cultural performances can fall flat too. It was boring. Folkorico dances are so much fun and Arietty's was boring af. She did not represent that dance style well.
Just because it's a 'cultural performence' doesn't make it autamatically good. And her performance was flat and forgettable, nothing interesting.
