finally made this project to something playable, may have a few bugs here and there -download: sxvldev.itch.i... edit: fixed healing over max hp (-_-x)
I love it! I'm currently developing RPG with somewhat similar combat system, so any direction towards any learning resource that helped you get this good at it, would be greatly appreciated.
thanks! a lot of it is just finding good looking animations and making the AI use them well. In this case I actually just rushed the boss fight by just scaling a normal enemy, you can find better examples of boss fights online.. I mean almost everything you can imagine has a tutorial on youtube somewhere. Just implement features one by one (e.g character movement, then attacking, then targeting, then enemy AI), and eventually you should reach what you want. I find watching other people's projects is good for finding features to add to your game. animations i used: www.unrealengine.com/marketplace/en-US/profile/WeaponMaster+Animset?count=20&sortBy=effectiveDate&sortDir=DESC&start=0 There are also good sample projects online you can find which you can learn from. e.g. th-cam.com/video/Mc_oPIYrxiA/w-d-xo.html Hope this helps!
@@LUERA32 Good to know, it's the reason why I don't like skyrim's combat system, it makes your player and your enemies like invincible walking mountains...
it's a short prototype project so i didnt try to make it mobile friendly, but if it were to be a full game it would be possible to make it mobile friendly
the game is so nice can i have file project ?

@@LUERA32 It was definitely helpful. Thank you!
Nice! But lack of hit feedbacks.
if you are talking about hit animations, i thought it would make it feel a bit clunky since you get hit alot but you're right i could've added some
