I really like this track, but I felt like it never really picked up enough in intensity to be fitting for a big major boss fight. It's just sort of spooky ambient. I was a bit disappointed with the final boss track from the first doom too, it was mixed in an odd way that just made it lack punch. The rhythm was good, but the drums were mixed too loud for the guitar; it gave the impression that the guitar was muffled or muted, like somebody was trying to smother it with a pillow for the whole song. I think it could've used a bass guitar too, or the bass should've been louder if there was one.
Facing the spider is the only one I *didnt* like. Both Sign of Evil and Nobody Told Me About ID were great, but then everything about the Spiderdemon fight sucked. The song... And the fight.
I dunno, minimalism with boss fight music is pretty great, like with Nobody Told Me About Id. Only time I can't like it is with Facing the Spider, because it's just... Off, for a boss fight. Makes it sound more intense than it is.
