Enjoyed this very much indeed. What a different world we live in today. When I was little we had a wringer washer in the basement and clothes either dried on lines outside in nice weather or on wooden racks inside. Few things smelt as lovely as sheets dried out in the sun and I remember walking between them on the clothes lines. So many years ago. So many memories.
I have the Costway brand of this machine. I bought it for use in our RV. I love it and also use it at home when I just need to do a few items. I do not have the spin problem that was described here. Mine spins faster and the clothes do not drip when done. I can hang them on a rack inside without a drippy mess all over the floor. Of course, if not perfectly balanced, mine will walk across the counter and fall off. You do have to watch it. I also short cut the rinse. When I take the clothes out from the wash cycle, I wring by hand and throw them in a bucket of fresh water. That is my only rinse - no agitation but what I do by hand. Then back in for the spin. Gotta say, clothes come out really clean. I am a “happy camper” where this machine is concerned.
I got the same machine ..... well, this hardware is sold under many brands and slightly different editions , but share the same components. After seeing reviews , you will encounter many that report back that the machine stop working, most likely this is due to a very important note in the manual easy to miss "do not use water that exceeds 50'C" , the machine got a temperature protector turning it of temporarily until the temp is acceptable, and this has fooled me many times. Anyways, great job with the review, thanks.
Thank you for such a thorough demonstration. I appreciate the details. I feel its just the right size for me to handle in a small apartment when the one washer and dryer in our laundry room is either broken or in use by one of the other 11 apartments people who live here. Its better than nothing when i need something clean and going to a Laundromat isn't an option.
I use mine alongside a Thomas centrifugal spindryer which spins really fast. Spin before rinsing and at the end. Great little machine providing you manage your expectations and don't rely on the salad spinner!
Thanks for this amount of detail! When I used to use a twin tub, the detergent (Persil) was a different variety from that used in an automatic m/c and there were more bubbles and a cleaner wash. I also used to transfer the clothes to the spinner, fill with water and use that to rinse AND spin. This single tub looks a faff and would need a lot of drainer space on a kitchen sink. With electricity prices going up we’ll ALL be line drying again so a decent spinner is what we need….like the ones for swimming costumes.

Can you show us / update us on your current washing machine?
The twin tub machines do have a better spin on them but of course they are a larger machine and this could be a problem if you have limit space. Spin basket not worth the effort but would be OK for washing and rinsing I suppose.
The spin in these single tub washers will always be rubbish = the spin basket is effectively fitted to the wash impeller and the mode switch bypasses the reverse function - with the motor spinning in the opposite direction to the basket being fitted to prevent it becoming detached, and as Rodger shows us through the blue transparent wash tub of the motor at 4:29 it is being driven on a reduced belt drive to reduce the motors speed for the wash action but is made too slow for the spin [dry]. To be able to spin the laundry in these small/countertop washers you must buy the twin-tub versions = as those have the separate spin dryer with its own motor which goes fast enough for adequate drying.
Yes, the compact twin tubs spin very well when they have a balanced load. I do have a small Tefal spin dryer I could use with this Leisure Direct One, but both take up almost as much room as a small twin tub.
I was going to purchase one for my Boat, not now.

It's 5kg lol. My dad and I just moved my Miele w1 up 5 steps into my new place. I've never heard him curse so much.
Shame it doesn’t spin fast enough, we got the OneConcept twin tub , it’s a good spin but it’s size is bigger than would like it for a caravan, the size of this single tub looks more ideal for size.
Its “hummmmmmmmmmm” can make me fall asleep
I got a portable washing machine very similar to that and same thing happened there was a tiny crack in the side at the top and at the back those the removable panel was a little dented in so I wasn’t too happy when I got it
I just bought one and got it today. I am hopeful I can add a pair of jeans with socks. I was hoping not to have to wing it out. 😕
I had the Devante version of this and one time I accidentally left the drain hose hanging down when I was filling up for the first rinse and it was all draining out halfway through my TH-cam video which I didn’t end up uploading but then when I hooked it back up and then tried to fill up again the Fillhart popped out of the machine so then I had to start all over again
Would love to see a review on a nina spin dryer. They are from the US but imagine there is something similar there??
I have a Thomas spindryer from Amazon. Fantastic, clothes come out virtually dry. It saved my sanity when I was without a washer last summer followi g a flood!

I see that every review mentions the inlet hose, but not many focus on the outlet hose. Both hoses look very cheap and flimsy. I don't see where the outlet hose connects, or if it can be replaced. That's my concern, because if that hose breaks, particularly at the connection, the machine will be useless. Can that hose be replaced?
I got a Camry CR 8054 similar to that. I haven't had any issue with the spinner, even with towels or pair of kaki pants. You put them in the hopper, press firmly to squeeze out the excess water, then put it in and watch it spin. My regular washer gets the clothes just a little bit dryer (when it works right), so no complaints. I do have to ask though, did it ever stop or overheat and you had to wait say 5-10 minutes then continue? I have had to do that on some loads (like towels, a bed sheet). Great little washers for little things like shirts, shorts, socks, rags, but can do larger things too just in small loads of them. Cheers

The machine works good the drain works good what do I need to do to get this spinner to work because for some reason is not working it was it a problem that something that I'm able to fix myself without calling someone in to fix it

The twin tub is too big. I don’t have the Good Ideas twin tub anymore but I do have the smaller Leisurewise model I demonstrated.

Good Question, I have just picked up a twin tub that doesn't have a Lint Filter, (it was advertised as having.one), just that drainage hole at the bottom as this one seems to have... not sure if I should return my new twin tub or notas it has no lint filter.

I can never understand why they bother with this spin basket nonsense on these machines they don’t work , fine for washing but useless at drying , shouldn’t be allowed really as it’s a con to people who think they are getting a spin dryer with it the law should stop it trade description
The motor is just too weak, or it doesn't apply enough power to the motor for the spin cycle. It really needs to be a LOT faster to get effective centrifugal force. What a shame. Really neat idea, but definitely has some flaws.
These wash ok but the spin function is an absolute joke , I don’t know how they get around calling it a spin dryer because it doesn’t spin anything , hand wringing will get loads more water out than this nonsense set up

Having had to wash by hand when my automatic washing machine broke down, I can say that it is easier to use a machine like this.
This is definitely easier than washing by hand, you just have to hang in the shower for dropping water because the spin cycle in these aren't good
