Awesome guide. I love Captain Hook because you can easily make opponents too scared to fate you as they know you need to fate Peter Pan. But they should fate you to setup taunts and other effects to get rid of allies and items.
@@theabsentfriend4002 well kinda. I meant His allies definitely reflect the idea, but with Peter Pan? Well his goal is to slay pan at the jolly Rodger, so having fate play Peter is like a 1 step closer to victory
@@theabsentfriend4002 which is why you scare people from fating you. Helps to control heroes to your terms. When I’ve won with hook it’s because the other players let me setup so when Peter Pan comes out they have only 1-2 turns to stop me at most. Pretty nuts.
@@theabsentfriend4002 Which is why setup with Captain Hook is so important. If you;re not ready to move Peter Pan quickly it can give lots of time to have a whole bunch of taunting heroes on the board to slow you down.
Indeed, if anyone plays Crocodile to Lagoon, you basically help Hook cycle trough his deck. Croc isn't really helpful before Hangman is unlocked and maybe should only be played to Skull Rock. After Hangman is unlocked, Croc is really the best card you can get to Mermaid (if not many Allies are played yet) or Jolly Roger (if hook is already set for Pan).
@@theabsentfriend4002 I just love how she is just built for cycling through her deck and playing cards quickly. As a former MtG player whose favorite colour was blue, I appreciate that mechanic.

Exactly! As Hook, I always Fate others like crazy just to TAUNT them to fate me back.😁
It’s basically a deck where you gotta build up strength, and obviously his items and heroes reflect this idea.
@@jaykay8426 His heroes?

@@jaykay8426 True, but a smart player probably won’t Fate Hook too much as to not find Pan too quickly.

Absent Friend: makes a video on *Disney Villainous*
TH-cam: *Magic: the Gathering*
I don't get it ... lol
TH-cam thinks you're making MtG videos.
@@janehuskmann1914 interesting … I wonder why it thinks that.
Hilarious as always, but I was looking forward to at least one "SMEEEEEE!" reference lol
I thought of that, but I couldn’t make it work. I liked doing the creepy croc music
Also love that with your equipment you can move Peter Pan and vanquish him in 1-2 turns once he’s out.
Yeah, but that takes a lot of pre-setup in your hand. It's tough to keep those good cards while still trying to discard and get that map!

@@theblindjedi41 Yeah, my friends fate me pretty much every turn when Peter Pan comes out.

The only downside is he can move heroes quite easily with Ingenious Device or Hangman Tree.
I know I’ll be waiting for a while but evil Queen is my favorite in this game.

Scar had annoying sidekicks. Those hyenas were pretty obnoxious.
