I think I was in a pretty unique position with my account, Rina was my starter agent and I love her, lost Ellen's 50/50 to her M1 to boot so I've never had to deal with her inherent clunkiness much. I also skipped Jane but picked up Burnice, so have been looking for strong onfield anomaly characters to pilot while Burnice chills in the back. Lo and behold, that team is omega cracked! Rina and Burnice both have passives that extend Shock/Burn respectively, massively amplifying Yanagi's polarities whether the enemy is current shocked or burned. I highly recommend anybody with all three units sitting about to give them a shot together.
@@nathan8750 Can't really say that I have a fully set in stone rotation since there's so many moving parts to running Yanagi and Burnice together, but here's the basic idea. Open up a fight on Burnice with a hold basic attack into EX double shot, that'll be your bread and butter to apply Scorch and refill your heat guage. Next go into your buffer of choice, since you don't have Rina I'd recommend either Lucy (with M2 or better yet M6 upkeeping her buff is a breeze) or Seth (his shield giving a ton of flat AP to Yanagi makes her Polarities base damage skyrocket, M1 required for quality of life). Afterwards go to Yanagi looking for either a parry or a quick assist, as either will shortcut her to basic 3 as she comes in, letting you do a quick basic > special > basic > EX that should apply lots of shock and trigger a polarity, if not a double, off of burnice's burn if enough fire was applied beforehand. From there it's all play by ear. Buffs about to run out? Swap back to your buffer. Heat gauge below 50%? Bring Burnice in, ideally on a parry but hard tagging in and doing the hold basic > double shot is fine too. The rest of the time I spend on Yanagi just going to town, building meter to burn EXs and Ults on enemies who recently got shocked or burned. I usually spend my ultimate on Yanagi, but Burnice using hers to refill her heat in a pinch if she's out of energy is more than fine too. Good luck, and enjoy!

Yanagi-Caesar-Burnice is the best Yanagi team for me. Cause Caesar help you stun enemy much quicker than any other supports with the lowest field time. And Caesar being physical here actually better for the other 2 since she can't overwrite shock or burn, which ensure you'll get the biggest disorder damage.
Cool to see different opinions because over primarily heard the opposite regarding Burnice being easier vs Jane being harder. Also burn shock is a stronger disorder combo than assault shock. I think that is a sensible argument. I imagine the “feel” of the rotation has more to do with the player than the actual rotation if you find Jane more comfortable vs others finding Burnice more comfortable. I do agree with and love the fact that Yanagi is so flexible that she is well suited to be a hyper on field dps and a quick swap burst dps very naturally. I think that gives her longevity as ZZZ evolves and new strong characters continue to come out.
I have both Jane and Burnice, and like you said, it has to do with which you vibe more. I use both and each team comp seems fine. Though I also use all 3 Anomaly characters in farming stages and while it seems cluncky, it feels very satisfying to see numbers popping up and mobs dying extremely fast.

Thanks for covering more various team options I appreciate it. I really wanted Yanagi cuz she's cool and fun to play and it was frustrating to keep seeing people say without Burnice she "wouldn't work". I don't have Burnice cuz I just didn't vibe with her kit/play-style and even though it's not the "best" team I'm quite enjoying a Mono electric team with Yanagi, Qingyi and Rina. Obviously it's still early for ZZZ so there will 100% be more Anomaly agents in the future that'll open up more Yanagi teams, so I'm just gonna have fun with it 👍
Yanagi is fantastic! Was able to grt her and her weapon was saving for so long and pre farmed all her stuff maxed out she is crazyyyyy strong! As a FGC lover she feels right at home in my hands! Pull her if you can!

Just use Lighter, Burnice and Yanagi if you don't have skill issue on receiving damage for fire/electric disorder team. Lighter can build fire anomaly fast as he is the 2nd fastest fire anomaly buildup character after Burnice. But so expensive team with 3 limitee characters 😅. Or actually he is more for Miyabi/Burnice disorder-stun team.( remember he provide 2 extra second of stun so you can probe ice and fire disorder on boss). Lighter M4 provide energy to on-field characters which is huge boost.
I'm not getting your problem with the Yanagi/Caesar/Burnice team. First of all, all Caesar is there for is to provide the shield. She is not there to stun. Yanagi and Burnice both proc each others disorder so, you only need to swap Caesar to refresh the shield, not to provide stun or apply flinch. I'm pretty sure Yanagi was designed with that team in mind on release.

Caesar is taking the slot of a pseudo stunner simply because lighter isn’t here yet. Disorder teams don’t need a primary stunner because disorder itself inflicts daze when procing, but they still need a daze unit on the team. That comp is clunky because Burnice doesn’t have a smooth spot in rotations without lighter since both are built around each other. Burnice fills his gauge and applies burn, lighter assist in after the gauge is filled from burnice, he buffs her and builds daze, yanagi switches in and procs her disorders (which are based on the buffed up burnice), then stun rotation starts and you repeat the process. Slotting in anyone in place of lighter makes burnice feel off in rotations, almost as if shes forced. Doesn’t mean she doesn’t get the job done.
Yanagi was not designed with that team in mind, however neither of us can prove that case. That being said, if you’ve mastered the team to the point they have no issues, then that is awesome. Personally, the team is currently clunky & does not flow smoothly. Caesar’s sole purpose is not ‘just’ to provide shields. I know people compare her to Zhongli, but the character is much more than that. Especially on these kinds of teams. But I play differently than most others. What works for me, may not work for you & that’s okay.

Ideally you would parry into, use her skills to apply shield to get the 1k attack buff and do a bit of daze (perhaps a block ex special if possible for EXTRA daze if possible), and get out of there for burnice to apply a fire anomaly + off-field anomaly burn tick. So spending too much field time on caesar just takes too much time away from yanagi and burnice's anomaly shock/burn ping pong.

fr Yanagi is extremely fun to play around with than what I initially thought. I had to pull her bec I really need a good DPS and I have to take Burnice into consideration, turns out I made the right choice. She isnt the character type where you mindlessly just mash buttons, you also have to consider team comps who could synergize with her and enable her to dish out big damage Imo, she's very flexible and versatile BUT hard to master
Pulled her and her W-engine, built her mono electric with Seth, she is cracked. Sidenote If you can’t get her W-engine I would say she’s a skip because going for W-engine isn’t really f2p friendly This was my pity summon after losing my 50/50 on burnice, and not being able to grab Jane’s W-engine from way back
As someone who coincidentally only has anomaly damage teams i had to pull her w-engine simply because i didnt have enough of them Worth it tho despite me no longer having enough to guarantee miyabi
Haven’t finished watching the video will watch it after my classes but would you recommend getting her or saving for Miyabi? I have all the anomaly characters and their supports I just don’t know which one is better to get, if it was up to me I would get both but most likely only getting one of them. So should I get her or for save for Miyabi
We don't fully know what Miyabi is gonna bring to the game yet, so it honestly depends on who you want to be your main DPS. Yanagi or Miyabi. Technically (& you'll see it from the guide here) Yanagi can be used with Miyabi's team & will probably be a top 3 team. However, you have a good bit before she gets here, so honestly I'd say pull both.
Figured she would be a complicated character, I'm just mad that she doesn't have many great f2P w engines 😭 I guess it's time to pull my first limited w engine in this game.
You can get away with the ones I mentioned like Weeping or Roaring. They aren't bad, they just don't give her everything in 1 like her own, but that's to be expected since it's P2w, y'know?
you can do her well without her signature engine. For F2P options, the best ones are Weeping Gemini, Gourmet and Roaring. Weeping Gemini being the best optimal option As for S Rank Engines, Fusion Compiler is your best alternative to her signature
Technically her f2p engines are just as good for her as they are for any other agent, it’s just that her signature in particular is insanely strong and outperforms other options much more significantly than other agents and their signatures.
Runnig her with Energie Regen on Disk 6 is the best way to play her, or Attack on Disk 6 and a Energie Regen Bangboo, because most of her Dmg comes from her ex special Attack. You dont relay need that Anomoly Mastery on Disk 6 especialy if you run her mono Electro or with Burnice. Ether Way the Enemys will most liky be all the time on an Anomoly state.
I adore Burnice so maybe this take is biased, but 11:50 is so cap because just replace Caesar with Seth and it feels way better. That's what I use now and I love it. my Burnice is M3 though so idk if that makes a difference lol
Definitely biased, but I respect it. lol That's an entirely different team flow though if you replace Caesar for Seth, which is kinda why I mentioned how important Seth was to how these teams felt together. He's so underrated.
Can you explain Seth's "interrupt" as you called it? I'm not sure what you meant or maybe how you meant it, I don't have Seth, but I know how he plays, so I'd really like to know what you mean just in case...
Yanagi is so simple to play I dont even know where the complicated playstyle rumor come from Keeping up 2 of her buffs or constantly popping disorder is so easy.. Its only difficult if you want to play smoothly with rina m0
Has anyone had any experience using Yanagi at endgame without her signature w-engine in a monoelectric team with Seth? Does she still feel plenty powerful or do you need her signature to really make a monoeletric team viable for comfortable s-rank clears?
Have Qinqyi+sig, Burnice+sig and M2 Rina and feel the need in electro dps. Do you think it's safe to pull for Yanagi (w/o sig, but lipgloss) or it's better to wait for Harumasa in 1.4? This will be my 3rd element team, so I'm not in a rush and the goal is to spend polychrome wisely
im using that team! it's totally amazing.. Rina really ups her damage, ideal support for shock anomaly since the 3 sec increase means 30% damage potential from triggering disorder of shock
You won’t need Seth on that team. Burnice or another anomaly agent to help you with a 2nd element will perform better (as of my current testing). That could change later down the road.
Hm… I don’t think one exists in MH yet to be fair. It’s like… a mixture of the long swords slashes, the dual blades flurry attacks, & the glaives jump attacks.

Yanagi gives herself PEN so it could be a little too much. She values the other stats from those W-Engines more & honestly, I'd probably say to save that currency for a failed 50/50 because Yanagi can get away with Electro Lip Gloss, Weeping Gemini, etc. for a lot cheaper. I'd 100% go Seth in that 3rd slot, but be mindful that you're rocking mono-electric. Your Disorders won't be as strong, but instead have a lot of shock invested.

I have yanagi, grace w-engine + Rina. I say if you don't have 100%+ pen ratio the build is pretty viable. Yanagi can fulfill the conditions of the W-engine too. Including Yanagi's buffs, my pen ratio is around 70% though my Rina doesn't have max pen ratio built.

@IyoXS practice used to be brutal because you could be training all year for an event in November and one injury in practice, say a month away, would end it for you. So it was all about just being healthy and not over doing it. I'm not sure how martial artists do it, but I feel the mentality in terms of taking care of your body and maintaining balance, would be the same. Competitions were fun though and everyone was cool just bc we all just appreciated the culture. You could meet people from all over the world and click with them instantly. Sadly that ended off injuries I'm still kinda dealing with, so now I just play gacha games and league :D
the yanagi/caesar/burnice part i don't agree with, you overcomplicated it for no reason. just because you have caesar on the team doesn't mean you need to use her, just apply her shield then stay on burnice and yanagi
Man, I wanna pull yannagi but I know I should pull stunner: Ken edition next. I have Jane m2w1 (got an extra jane pulling for sethm6, got her weapon pulling for seths lol) Seth m6w2 Rina m2 as my main team and Ellen anby m6w3 Soukaku m6w3. and I have a half built Soldier 11 Ben Lucy team So I should really get punchbro, but I love Lycaon's style and I might want Miyab, but I have ellen for ice, dang. I would pull for her anywayys, but I lost my pitty on Burnice and got all the way to soft pitty on my 100% getting a failing to get a single extra lucy, so I can't just yolo it.
I did. I just didn't include that team in this video. I did, however, talk about Hypercarry Yanagi being the "worst" of the bunch so to speak at the very beginning of the teams chapter, but that doesn't mean it's bad. You just have to do more meter management with that team compared to others + you're lacking a stunner.

All these Character's back-to-back are making me nervous ... All i want is Miyabi man. Hopefully she doesn't need Yanagi nor Lighter and has an easy enough Playstyle. All the things you have to consider with Yanagi in battle are a little bit ridiculous

@@IyoXS rocket, also found it works a ton more smoother with M6 lucy and rocket boo. You still have to switch in and out but a lot less frequently. Double disorder in one setting is stupid burst.

I have all the anomaly characters and their supports I just don’t know which one is better to get, if it was up to me I would get both but most likely only getting one of them.

We don't fully know what Miyabi is gonna bring to the game yet, so it honestly depends on who you want to be your main DPS. Yanagi or Miyabi. Technically (& you'll see it from the guide here) Yanagi can be used with Miyabi's team & will probably be a top 3 team. However, you have a good bit before she gets here, so honestly I'd say pull both.

You can get away with the ones I mentioned like Weeping or Roaring. They aren't bad, they just don't give her everything in 1 like her own, but that's to be expected since it's P2w, y'know?
you can do her well without her signature engine. For F2P options, the best ones are Weeping Gemini, Gourmet and Roaring. Weeping Gemini being the best optimal option
As for S Rank Engines, Fusion Compiler is your best alternative to her signature
Technically her f2p engines are just as good for her as they are for any other agent, it’s just that her signature in particular is insanely strong and outperforms other options much more significantly than other agents and their signatures.
M2 Yanagi is fun as hell.
Definitely gonna try Yanagi with 4 piece swing jazz but without her W-engine I think her damage is gonna be bad 😢
Runnig her with Energie Regen on Disk 6 is the best way to play her, or Attack on Disk 6 and a Energie Regen Bangboo, because most of her Dmg comes from her ex special Attack. You dont relay need that Anomoly Mastery on Disk 6 especialy if you run her mono Electro or with Burnice. Ether Way the Enemys will most liky be all the time on an Anomoly state.

I adore Burnice so maybe this take is biased, but 11:50 is so cap because just replace Caesar with Seth and it feels way better. That's what I use now and I love it. my Burnice is M3 though so idk if that makes a difference lol
Definitely biased, but I respect it. lol That's an entirely different team flow though if you replace Caesar for Seth, which is kinda why I mentioned how important Seth was to how these teams felt together. He's so underrated.

it's totally amazing.. Rina really ups her damage, ideal support for shock anomaly since the 3 sec increase means 30% damage potential from triggering disorder of shock

You won’t need Seth on that team. Burnice or another anomaly agent to help you with a 2nd element will perform better (as of my current testing). That could change later down the road.

Hm… I don’t think one exists in MH yet to be fair. It’s like… a mixture of the long swords slashes, the dual blades flurry attacks, & the glaives jump attacks.
@IyoXS So for yanagi + Rina base team, If I were to buy Grace’s Wengine for Yanagi would that be too much pen ratios? And who would I place as a third slots (Anton/Seth/Piper since no Jane/ Caesar) ?
Yanagi gives herself PEN so it could be a little too much. She values the other stats from those W-Engines more & honestly, I'd probably say to save that currency for a failed 50/50 because Yanagi can get away with Electro Lip Gloss, Weeping Gemini, etc. for a lot cheaper.
I'd 100% go Seth in that 3rd slot, but be mindful that you're rocking mono-electric. Your Disorders won't be as strong, but instead have a lot of shock invested.

I have yanagi, grace w-engine + Rina. I say if you don't have 100%+ pen ratio the build is pretty viable. Yanagi can fulfill the conditions of the W-engine too. Including Yanagi's buffs, my pen ratio is around 70% though my Rina doesn't have max pen ratio built.

Rina is a good universal pen buffer; she just needs swap attack/ex special then back to your main dps

@IyoXS practice used to be brutal because you could be training all year for an event in November and one injury in practice, say a month away, would end it for you. So it was all about just being healthy and not over doing it. I'm not sure how martial artists do it, but I feel the mentality in terms of taking care of your body and maintaining balance, would be the same.
Competitions were fun though and everyone was cool just bc we all just appreciated the culture. You could meet people from all over the world and click with them instantly.
Sadly that ended off injuries I'm still kinda dealing with, so now I just play gacha games and league :D

the yanagi/caesar/burnice part i don't agree with, you overcomplicated it for no reason. just because you have caesar on the team doesn't mean you need to use her, just apply her shield then stay on burnice and yanagi

I did. I just didn't include that team in this video. I did, however, talk about Hypercarry Yanagi being the "worst" of the bunch so to speak at the very beginning of the teams chapter, but that doesn't mean it's bad. You just have to do more meter management with that team compared to others + you're lacking a stunner.
@@IyoXS You don't necessarily need a stunner in disorder team comps, since supports like lucy, rina, and especially caesar hold greater value and provide faster clear times in the long run.
All these Character's back-to-back are making me nervous ... All i want is Miyabi man. Hopefully she doesn't need Yanagi nor Lighter and has an easy enough Playstyle. All the things you have to consider with Yanagi in battle are a little bit ridiculous

@@IyoXS rocket, also found it works a ton more smoother with M6 lucy and rocket boo. You still have to switch in and out but a lot less frequently. Double disorder in one setting is stupid burst.
