  • These five short vignettes each represent one of my favourite places in East Sussex, the place I called home for 20 years.
    1. Brighton Pavilion
With a nod to Zadok, this movement represents the sheer majesty of this place and its Oriental features.
    2. Barcombe Mills
Forever flowing, the River is surrounded by pastoral beauty, wildlife and the first cuckoo of spring.
    3. Lewes Castle
Towering above the county town of Lewes, this medieval castle has seen war and celebration.
    4. Pooh Bridge
Just outside the village of Hartfield lies the inspiration for A.A. Milne's game of Pooh Sticks.
    5. The South Downs
Beautiful rolling hills, beacons and valleys are home to wildlife and humans alike. One of the most moving places in England.
