This hypnotic steering system hasn't been operational since 2018. We just got the boat back in the water and going through all of the systems to get it operational again. I Nautic steering can be pretty easy to get back up and running if you know what you're doing and follow a few simple rules. Keep pressure on, keep fluid in the tank, and keep turning the wheel. However, on this boat, we ended up with more than we bargain for with two stock Rudders. After dismantling the connecting arm, I still can't get either Rutter to move independently. Now we're going to have to go through each rudder and find out why they are seized up and get them to function properly so we can put it back together again so the rotor system operates properly..

I've never repaired hynautics but in the last couple years friends have had boats with there steering, and even worse shift, and throttle with it , they seem to fail like crazy

It may seem like that but keep in mind systems are 30 years old and sometimes even older. So for something with 30 years old and never touched once is actually a phenomenal record. Things eventually just get old and the gaskets and seal start wearing out and that’s usually when we gotta fix them. But also if I’m out at See, I can much more easily fix a hydraulic system, as opposed to an electronic board that has crapped out so all in all I would much rather use the hydraulics than electrical. Thanks for watching and thank you for your comments.
