Thanks for this video. I am having a problem with setting in the ground line. I have a slab layer turned on for my slab on grade and in the viewport, it shows forward of the ground line hatch polyline. Not sure how to get that hatch to show in front of the slab layer.
I have issues in controlling line weights of exterior & mainly interior line weights. Do you have a video of doing that? Also issues with lines that are between the same objects, like door casing/trim. With wood trim I would show a diagonal line weight 1 int the corners, but for a hollow metal door frame I do not, but VW does & I cannot get rid of it. Both trims are created with the Extrude Along Path command.
I'm looking for a way to place a vertical section viewport, or elevation viewport, on a design layer. It always populates as a horizontal section. Do you know of any solutions?
Hi Paige, maybe you're looking for something like display flattened for section viewports. I often use flattened section viewports on design layers so that I can draw on top of them and it allows me to and a lot of detail to my sections. When I update the model, you can see the updated model on these flattened sections. Does that sound like the sort of thing you're after?
Thank for the video. Is it possible to just make a 3D then convert it into 2D sections. This way, once your 3D is done, your 2Ds are also done and you just need to make Viewports for the sections?
Sure, you can create a section and place it on a design layer and flatten it. This does not disconnect it from the 3D model, so as you update the model, the section keeps up to date. I often do this and then trace over or copy the section so I can draw the detailed components of the project.

I just had a look at my movie, and I show how I draw a polyline in the annotation part of the viewport. And I wonder if this is how you are doing it?
I was looking on how to start the elevation. Do you have such a video? Thank you.
Hi, thank you for your comment. I do have such a video. Here it is here: th-cam.com/video/DpRRe79rrdM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=iQZROWvmhlsRDg1Q

If you can send me a small file with one of each, I’ll have a look at it.

@@archoncad Thank you! I tried it and does seem to be working in the way we are looking for.

@@archoncad Thank you! I understand now! I really appreciate your time in responding.
