Great review. I really prefer the Standard over the Special for several reasons: 1) I prefer the look of the bags. It leaves more room to see the beautiful chrome exhaust tips. 2) In my opinion, I much prefer the matte finish of the dash on the Standard vs the glossy black on the Special. Less light reflected back to you and I think the glossy finish just looks cheaper. To me it's like seeing the glossy finish on a Kia dash vs the matte black dash on a Porsche. Also, the glossy black will definitely show more scratches over time from dust and road grime than the matte finish. 3) I have read numerous reviews stating that the 114 engine prefers to be revved a little higher RPM for the sweet torque band than the 107. And... I think the 107 has PLENTY of power. 4) Like you stated, the Special is about $5-6K more. I for sure don't see it, and as I mentioned, I prefer several features on the Standard over the Special. But hey, it's just subjective. Some people also prefer the blacked out option on the Special. Me? Chrome baby all the way! Also... I was really back and forth between the Street Glide and the Road Glide until I rode them back to back. The RG seems so much more nimble without the weight of the fairing and the wind pushing down on the handlebars. Plus, at 70+ MPH, buffeting becomes a big issue on the Street Glide.
Good to know information. I have exact same bike but never once considered the Street glide. The shark nose sold me when I first them with the horizontal LED headlights a few years ago. And chrome, HECK YEA! The bike still turns heads at my HD dealership. Thanks for sharing.
I have a 2020 standard road glide took delivery in January of this year, put 10k on this year. Not bad but I have a sport glide also and put 18k this year. Yes I had a great season, put the bikes away for winter so come on spring. Old guy in upstate New York
Thanks for posing been riding more years that I want to remember have had all repeat all kind of bikes that includes on the going but my present road glide is by far the most comfortable go through the wind with the right windshield I've ever ridden
I had a road glide. It's gone now. But you get some pretty nasty buffeting on that one as well. I purchased a special windshield from madstad that fixed it. I tried out a couple of windshields from Harley-Davidson called wind splitter and they made the buffeting so bad that they made the shield on my helmet flip up and down while I was riding. So, no I do not think that road glides are better than Street glides for buffing. But definitely having the windshield upgrade from MadStad worked fabulous.

Excellent feedback, Jerry. YOU are the guy Harley makes these for. 👍

I’m hoping to get my hands on a Road Glide soon. They are such nice bikes.
The best review I’ve seen for my 2021 HD Standard and I’ve seen plenty. I learned some things too.
I honestly always preferred the batwing but man that bike is sharp. I’d buy that
Excellent video
Thank you! And Thank you for watching!
The tiny windshield is horrible. It’s for looks only. I just finished buying the 14” sport flare and what a difference.
I would go bigger as well. Thank you for watching!
Great review just left dealership pulling the pin Monday

Great information and review, but the audio sucks.
I have a street glide and just cant seem to eliminate helmet buffeting, i heard its less of a problem with road glides
