If Feige didn’t intervene then she probably was doing some things that she shouldn’t have. There has been complaints about VFX from the MCU from fans as well as artists and if that falls under her then she gotta hold that L.

Vfx is only a small part of the problem. The bigger problems for the mcu are story/characters/writing.
Which is being solved by slowing down the pace at projects are released and allowing more time between projects
@@JudeusSamson -agreed but time will tell if that really improves the product- aside from the shotty VFX- I think the writers arent very good and there is no emphasis on characters anymore- they made me care about Tony Stark and Steve Rodgers and Tchalla- I dont have the same investment in most of these new characters

@@just_maceo4445 also, FIRE the writers involved in underperforming movies and shows. That's already a fair solution. Why would you want to keep the writers of Quantumania, She-Hulk, Miss Marvel or Love and Thunder? Just fire them all.

@@SuperOmnicronsj44 There's also not a lot of choice for her if she's not in charge of the release schedule for the shows. With the way Disney was forcing new shows/movies out the door under the previous leadership there wasn't going to be much choice for someone running the VFX department but to try and work their people as hard as possible and try to fight the release schedule in the meetings with the higher ups.
So the real story may be somewhere in between with her being forced to push releases AND her having some people that she didn't want to work with.

Every corporation has it's internal beef. However, when it impacts the final product (movies, shows and connections with artists) something definitely needs to be done. That being said, We Trully don't know what happened with Alonso. Many actors and production personnel seem to like her... so who knows... In any case, my love for Marvel is unwavered! Keep em' coming!
I'm sure she's cordial to actors and production personnel. When it comes to no-name vfx slaves, they are her whipping board. I don't think its purely vfx, though. A huge part of it is her politics, which has tanked the MCU.

When all these different things change, it doesn't fall on the head of vfx...it falls on the directors and producers for making last-minute changes. However, having a fresh start in that department might help the quality of future products.
Hopefully MARVEL STUDIOS can stabilize visual effects department NOW that VICTORIA ALONSO is gone
Her strategy towards VFX studios, one of fear and blacklisting, is not how you coax the best work out the artists and the VFX collaborators. That may have contributed to some of the quality issues for visual effects, not just that they had to rush the work. Christopher Nolan relies heavily on just a few of his trusted London VFX houses, a great working relationship that I can tell, and the VFX is always top notch.
Nolan does a lot of choreography and practical effects, Disney/Marvel has CGI in EVERY scene. That's unsustainable.

this makes sense...i remember the one video where you mentioned the quality of VFX in Quantumania...
I heard that she violated her contract by being a producer on another studio's film. When she was caught she was given another chance to not continue but it was reported that she didn't end her involvement with the other studio and that's the main reason she was fired. Kevin Feige not intervening on her behalf may say there was even more to the termination as well.

After hearing more of what happened. In a way they should have worked things out . But I do understand if there was some crazy stuff involved behind the scenes and it out weighed the good parts.

Unless Marvel clarifies, I completely believe this is why and one artist's good experience with her, won't change my mind.
With so many projects requiring a certain level of quality, the individual in charge of physical and postproduction, visual effects and animation production is in a critical position as the person that makes sure timelines are met with that quality…they probably felt the pipeline was not flowing as well as it was ten years ago when they had fewer products being made. Before 2019 and the launch of Disney+, Marvel made up to three films a year. Since 2019, Marvel has released seven films and eight TV series….she probably became overwhelmed
Hopefully this is a step in the right direction for the future of Marvel! Even though she helped give us some great stuff in the Infinity Saga!
Hopefully this means the VFX artists will get better treatment.
When I heard HR and Legal I knew there had to be some sort of validity to the complaints we've heard about. Hope this reset and slow down helps ease the pressure on these vfx artists. I'm willing to wait for better quality content.

It’s never good to have someone in management do things to undermine employees or contracted workers. It just makes a mess of things.

Disney needs to invest in their employees. I’ve heard about trouble like this before and it’s common everywhere. Underpaid. Overworked.
This does make sense when you look at the varying quality of the work product. Nobody needs this kind of toxicity in the work place.
I honestly welcome the change. Anyone not expecting a major shake up like this has not been listening to the shareholder calls. Iger hinted at this when he said they want to put the movie and content creation back into the "creative" people's hands. Not to mention the ever looming $5.5B in cost cutting that is expected over the next year. I just hope changes like this are mirrored when it comes to the writing/story creation leadership.

having worked in comics for The Big Two, the cracking of the whip & constant changes without direction are absolutely maddening. while this COULD BE a "rotating" villain situation, to pin the blame of the mid success of recent films on one person now that people are done blaming C*vid, and with this rescheduling of project releases... i guess we'll know in the next few years if it was truly her (lack-of) leadership.
