    Just wanted to let everybody know that stepper idle and Bluetooth jacks are on the NO2C. Also the under arduino format makes the UA4C the absolute thinnest possible (shield type) design at about 18mm thick. Thanks for the video Dwight!

    Nice talk through, thanks again. I have a question and a request if I may? The question is about the ribbon cables: do you find them OK for long term use? -The Speeduino Wiki says to replace them with Dupont cables for long-term.
    The request: Could you a demo of setting the jumper configs? I've searched all over and can't find how to set them for VR-1 crank sensor..

    • @DCWERX
      @DCWERX  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The ribbon cables have worked great for me in both short and long term applications.
      The jumpers settings are pretty simple. You just put the shunt jumpers to set it to what you want to do. jp1 on the v0.4 is to set spark output 5 or 12v. Jp2 is for vr1/rpm1/crank signal set to hall or vr based on what you have. Jp3 is for VR2/Rpm2/cam signal similar to to jp2. Jp4 and jp5 are pull ups for VR1 and VR2 respectively, you set these when using hall sensors.
      The jumper settings are expalined on the Speeduino wiki aswell. I may cover it in an upcoming video.

    Hello. Thanks for making these videos. Much appreciated. I have an assembled ua4c fishdog on order from speedyefi and am planning out my wiring strategy. I have a quick question if you dont mind. The online wiring diagram shows grounds at pins 10,11,21 and 22. Any idea which pins would be best to use for the main ecu to engine ground? Also which would best best to use for all the sensors ground? I looked everywhere online I can think to look and cannot find a specific ua4c grounding strategy. I have the speeduino manuals downloaded, but cant find details on which are best pins to use for specific grounds. Any help I greatly appreciated.

    Hey, These videos have helped me a lot.
    I am doing a college project which doesnt include plugging in the ECU to any vehicle i just have to Inject fuel into some measured container to show reduced flow rate.
    My project deals with dual fuel maps and i was wondering if this is possible.
    As i dont have an engine and can only simulate the entire process, Is it possible to just Control the Fuel injectors by tricking the Speeduino.
    The project is to reduce the Engine performance when the driver gets drowsy and hence reduce overspeeding accidents, hence when drowsiness is detected a signal tells the speeduino to switch to the lower performance fuel map.
    Your advice would be really helpful

    Interesting. What I think is most important, especially for high revving engines such as Hondas, is the ability to run sequential ignition for the sole benefit of charge time between spark events to take advantage of Coil on plug. Injection fired in batch works fine, there's no point in sequential unless you are concerned about emissions and economy.
    The real advantage to four channels on injection is being able to fire one low impedance injector per channel and not cook the mosfets.
    The MPX4250AP We used in Megasquirts for years is no longer produced by NXP, really we need to find a long term supplier of a suitable 5 Bar map and stick with that, but not sure if there is one that fits on the footprint of the MPX4250...
    Also VTEC, does this have a PNP output to switch +12V for the VTEC solenoid?

    I'm a total noob about these! i just found out about them today. I have an 89 Celica alltrac, with an OBD1 computer... does that mean i have to go for the SPEEDUINO V0.4 ASSEMBLED? you said something about that one being able to plug directly into an OBD1 Board. Does that run stand alone, or does it then plug into the computer? I'm trying to learn as much as i can so i can start pricing things out. i was pretty sure i needed to go to the 90's Wiring harness because it's computer is OBD2, and it's a huge relief that there's an aftermarket ECU that allows me to use what i already have... thanks for the vid, i liked and subscribed, and now i'm commenting!

      I highly suggest you take a look at the wiki pages at Speeduino.com to help you get started. It covers alot of the basics needed to get started.
      In regards to which board to use its completely up to you which one you use. They are all pretty much the same function wise. I made an adapter board that plugs into the v0.4 that's what I am referring to in the video. It's called the SS-OBD1. It's for sale at WTMTronics.com

    I am new to this. I am building an air-cooled VW (bug) engine for the track. I would very much like to use EFI. The mechanicals of the system I understand. But which board and accessories do I need? The ignition was going to be MSD, can this signal the system? Am I even asking the correct questions? If you can help, thanks. Watching the videos and learning.

    • @DCWERX
      @DCWERX  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      With modern ignition systems the MSD is almost obsolete. You just need a suitable crank trigger and coils of your choice.
      Any one of the boards will work, it just boils down to preference as mentioned in the video.
      Depends on your crank sensor you may need a VR conditioner board. The rest is pretty much the same as any other engine.
      Start doing some research on the Speeduino wiki pages at speeduino.com and join the forum. Lots of good info there

    Hi man, im wondering about replacing only the carburetor in my motorbike, and its not clear what the small ecu is! What would you reccomend to only manage a injector and a map?
    Edit: Do they also correct the map based on oxygen sensor?
    Thanks!

    • @DCWERX
      @DCWERX  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The small ECU is called the no2c and it is basically just a smaller version of the speeduino boards. I would recommend that one for a motorcycle.
      Yes with the registered version on tunerstudio. You can use the VE analyze feature also known as auto tune. It will correct your fuel map to match your AFR target map. It also allows closed loop o2 corrections to make small changes while you cruise around.
