As someone who has tried keto, let me tell you why he was feeling nauseous. When you stop having carbohydrates, or completely cut out one food-group, usually people feel nausea for a day or two. It stops after your body adapts to whatever you’re eating but please do not go on extreme diets like these.
As a trained nutriitonist let me further explain. Keto diet was solely meant for people having epileptic seizures that nothing else helped. When you take carbs away long term, your body pumps adrenaline and cortisol for energy. Adrenaline releases stored fatty acids into the blood, cortisol converts lean muscle tissue into glucose via gluconeogenesis and you actually end up with sugar and fat in the bloodstream all the time. This leads to insulin resistance. That's why you feel nauseous when you suddenly introduce lots of sugar or carbs. And when you're eating what you think is a keto diet, you are rarely in ketosis. The body hates it. Those are rare periods until the body can create that glucose. This is the biological reality being ignored by diet gurus and docs with tunnel vision or eating disorders (you'd be shocked at how common that is among MDs, many of whom have been clients of mine). I hope this helps. Running on stress hormones is a disaster long term.
@@katashley1031 keto does not create insulin resistance, it has cured it for many. And the body can stay in ketosis for a very long time and become highly fat adapted in the long term. Gluconeogensis does not occur in any significant amount once ketosis has begun. It’s not necessary when ketones are perfectly viable source of energy for the brain. The body prefers glucose, it will not force using glucose. At this point, there are numerous studies out on low-carb diets. Educate yourself beyond the outdated institutional nutritional standards they teach you in school.
@@KC9QIIyou are wrong and quoting bro science nonsense. keto does result in insulin resistance. It's unavoidable. It cures nothing, other than temporarily stopping seizures. I've already explained the biomechanics. Ignore them at your own peril.
@Kat Ashley ‘The body hates it?’ Mam, your nutritional knowledge is completely irrelevant if you learned everything you know out of a book or instructional course. Any nutritionist worth their weight in gold knows that everyone’s bodies respond to diets differently - genuinely - what works for one body may not work for another. Only a very ignorant nutritionist with very minimal experience would believe that one standard diet work for everyone. You should educate yourself further on the keto diet before making blanket statements. Spend an hour watching Dr. Berg on TH-cam (He’s a legit doctor - not a nutritionist) who goes into the intricacies of how beneficial a low carb diet is for many people. My body reacts poorly to any forms of carbs or sugar but completely thrives on a keto diet. My inflammation, water retention, acid reflux, bloating, excess weight, etc. all disappear when I eat keto - and then these problems always resurface any time I go back to eating sugar and carbs. (Also, my triglycerides, cholesterol, BP, and my A1C (sugar levels) are all hovering in the perfect range). But go on, tell me more about how much you know about the keto diet, when I’ve likely been researching and practicing it longer than you have. I have over a decades’ worth of research debunking every claim you just made.
@@rosyofthevalley nope, bachelor's, masters and 20 years learning and teaching all around the world. You're the one learning bro science from websites and diet books, lol. yes! I've been high fruit/high raw vegan for 11 years now mono fruit meals (one fruit meal) is best for digestion and satiation levels. those grapes look like muscat also most fruits at the shops (including exotic fruits) ARE NOT RIPE. that passionfruit should have been super wrinkly, almost looking bad. ripeness does really matter in terms of how sweet and satisfying a fruit will be and how well it digests. prickly pear are incredible ripe (cutting off the skin first helps rid of the bitter taste and the prickles on the outside) proper food combining and leaving your salad meal to the last meal of the day helps with digestion. i find i sleep better on raw, digestion is smooth and i have boundless energy with no caffeine. plus never worry about my weight. mental clarity and sleep is also A plus. thank you for listening to my ted talk ps. try exotic fruits in vietnam, borneo, sinapore, hawaii etc Jackfruit, durian, rambutan, mangosteen and chempedak will blow your mind. tree ripened fruits taste so much better than pre-cut shop fridge fruit ;) the end.
When I first went vegan I listened to psycho TH-camrs and ate all fruit, rotted my teeth, and then died. I was later resurrected and now only eat kale and sesame seeds.
Your videos are always dope! Just a FYI when eating fruit only it’s best to eat fruits that digest well with each other, like cantaloupe and watermelon or mono eating fruits. You can scope out charts of what fruits work well. Thanks again for the rad videos
Hey Will! I have actually been fortunate to be introduced to the raw fruitarian / raw vegan diet in a community of lifetime fruitarians / raw vegans through 2 raw vegan week-long retreats in Upstate New York. Some things you experienced that I know are true and have also faced when on this diet. Coming from a vegan diet, it was a much easier transition for me, but these are some tips I learned along the way: 1. Your body WILL detox a LOT. When I started raw veganism I actually broke out in a rash - it was natural and just a part of detox. My second time sustaining myself on it, I craved salt a lot less, and my energy / overall body functioning was better. 2. The reason your body is craving things that are more savory is because of the lack of sodium. In raw veganism, dehydrated celery provides a flavorful touch without the "salt" 3. If you want a "warm" fruit meal, apple + banana with cinnamon and dates is sooo good. You can also add some walnuts. Also zucchini boats with dehydrated tomato blended with various other fruits that are more savory in flavor is a great "pizza option" 4. Definitely important to ease yourself into this diet and out of this diet, or else your body will go into shock. 5. You will gain and lose pounds just because of the water weight that you add - it is not body fat, it is water! 6. Some fruits that you should try which are crazy good - Mamey Sapote (tastes like pumpkin pie), Haitian mangoes (lighter and sweeter in my opinion), Durian (crazy smelly but tastes like vanilla pudding... sometimes.... or sometimes it tastes like dirty gym socks. BUT they don't sell it here unfrozen so you're going to have to go to SE Asia) and Jack-fruit! It is a great sub for "meaty" texture much like chicken. If you can't find it fresh, they sell it frozen a lot of the time & also canned. 7. The grapes you found were cotton candy grapes! Yum! I like to cut my grapes in half which is probably a psychotic energy BUT it helps me slow down when eating them / makes me feel more full. 8. Put some lime juice on that papaya - it will brighten it up and make it taste SO much better 9. Dehydrated fruits! Yummy to snack on / easy to pack up and bring places. Try dehydrated banana with some blended dates & water paste, wrap it up like a cinnamon roll. YUM. Add some raisins if you're feeling crazy. 10. I think that the raw vegan / fruitarian diet is a great option for some people, but for me, living in a cold climate, I too prefer warm fruits and veggies. Me and oven baked fries are in a relationship. That being said, we should all strive to introduce more raw fruit and veg into our diet for the dense nutrients they provide and overall benefits they provide. Hope this helps! Happy to hear you found some benefits on a vegan diet!
Detoxing on all fruit stopped my severe chronic pain, got me out of a wheelchair, had all of my anxiety entirely go away and my lifelong depression is finally gone. Dr. Robert Morse, T.C. Fry, Herbert Shelton, Arnold Ehret and more are great teachers for this lifestyle. Especially T.C. Fry and other natural hygiene teachers. This is life changing. I'm not bed ridden or wheelchair bound anymore. We are designed for fruit.
Bro, if I were you I'd check with a dietitian, cause it sounds like you were running up against some intolerances or perhaps deficiencies. Like, in case you'd still be curious to find out more about the miracle you've experienced Btw, I also don't have chronic pain, am not in a wheelchair, have no anxiety, nor depression, and I'm eating other things besides fruit. So I don't think we're designed to survive on just fruits. In fact, I think we've evolved to include cooked food in our system. It's why, even though our digestion system is far less elaborate than most herbivore animals, we are able to sustain ourselves with a plant-based diet. In any case, it sounds like something about your previous diet was doing you dirty, and I'm happy for you a fruit diet is the ticket for you
@@captainzork6109 thank you. I've seen different doctors. My blood work is good. I don't mean to be dogmatic or proselytize. Sorry about that. @@captainzork6109We have a theory that most plantswe normally eat have defense toxins and tightly bound nutrients designed to make us struggle on a plant based diet. So I'd say we all have an allergy to many plants foods I have not been able to discern between veg and fruit but given our primary ancestry and the role of fruit in plants I think it's likely fruit might be the better plant food. Not the seeds though, they're poison, they're meant to be pooped out by design

Yea, this vid's dirty humor was overkill & just disgusting imo. It's funny if it's once in a blue moon bc it's unexpected, but when he makes multiple references to cheap innuendo in 1 vid, it's a compilation, like you said

Yes, the body hates being in ketosis. My 30+ year career wokring with athletes on pro sports teams has been my living laboratory, though working with epidemiologists researching human biology and how nutrition effects it is ongoing in my life as well. Listen more, blather on less. Or ignore it and pay the price later, your choice. Just remember this exchange when that happens. And it will. Good luck, sport.

The cactus pear is called 'babutsa' in Cyprus. We love eating it when it is the season. The one you got however looks very different. The cactus pears we have in Cyprus are yellowish in colour and taste amazing.
Can I make a request? When your heart has healed enough, could you make an Ollie tribute video? He has added so much to your already fantastic series!
This guys is so hilarious. This is my first video watching him and I can say that I’ve been laughing this whole time. I love that he is on an only fruit diet for those amout of days. It’s a life changing experience. I recommend this to anyone seeking a detox or energy boost!
More and more often you see these types of diets among people with EDs because fruit are "good" or "safe" foods. I remember some circles of ED social media promoted eating an entire watermelon for meals or only eating bananas it was wild
To be honest. I might try this diet.
I’ve been struggling to burn off weight and it seem like nothing I do is hopeless.
I hope by eating fruit alone makes me dropped the extra pound more easier
@@melteddarkchocolate000 I wouldn't. It's really unsustainanle and you'll probrably lose muscle mass because protein is hard on a frruitarian diet. If you're having a hard time finding a suistanable way to lose weight, I would suggest seeing a registered dietitian (not a nutritionist, dietitians actually go to school for their credentials).
@@melteddarkchocolate000 can vouch for keto my mom did it and dropped lbs really fast
@@melteddarkchocolate000 calorie deficit, eat more when work out, eat a bunch of greens and proteins daily, meal prep, either fast and have carbs at night or have carbs in morning and little to none at night

1:56 Ollie watching Will filming is the cutest thing ever!! RIP little soul :")
yes! I've been high fruit/high raw vegan for 11 years now
mono fruit meals (one fruit meal) is best for digestion and satiation levels.
those grapes look like muscat
also most fruits at the shops (including exotic fruits) ARE NOT RIPE. that passionfruit should have been super wrinkly, almost looking bad. ripeness does really matter in terms of how sweet and satisfying a fruit will be and how well it digests.
prickly pear are incredible ripe (cutting off the skin first helps rid of the bitter taste and the prickles on the outside)
proper food combining and leaving your salad meal to the last meal of the day helps with digestion.
i find i sleep better on raw, digestion is smooth and i have boundless energy with no caffeine. plus never worry about my weight. mental clarity and sleep is also A plus.
thank you for listening to my ted talk
ps. try exotic fruits in vietnam, borneo, sinapore, hawaii etc
Jackfruit, durian, rambutan, mangosteen and chempedak will blow your mind. tree ripened fruits taste so much better than pre-cut shop fridge fruit ;)
the end.
You need to be in a hospital, you are starving and it shows.

Coming from a vegan diet, it was a much easier transition for me, but these are some tips I learned along the way:
In raw veganism, dehydrated celery provides a flavorful touch without the "salt"
3. If you want a "warm" fruit meal, apple + banana with cinnamon and dates is sooo good. You can also add some walnuts. Also zucchini boats with dehydrated tomato blended with various other fruits that are more savory in flavor is a great "pizza option"
8. Put some lime juice on that papaya - it will brighten it up and make it taste SO much better
This was the saddest post I’ve ever read
This was the raddest comment I’ve read.
The cactus bear, is my favorite summer fruit, you must have got a rotten one or something and always make sure to fully peal it before eating it.
Like, in case you'd still be curious to find out more about the miracle you've experienced
Btw, I also don't have chronic pain, am not in a wheelchair, have no anxiety, nor depression, and I'm eating other things besides fruit.
I think a fruit diet really would help so many people, especially the disabled, diseased and cancer patients. I don't want to say is the end all be all cure though. I feel like health exist on a spectrum and I don't want to say I decide that for anyone else.
@@captainzork6109We have a theory that most plantswe normally eat have defense toxins and tightly bound nutrients designed to make us struggle on a plant based diet. So I'd say we all have an allergy to many plants foods
I have not been able to discern between veg and fruit but given our primary ancestry and the role of fruit in plants I think it's likely fruit might be the better plant food.
Not the seeds though, they're poison, they're meant to be pooped out by design
Yeah I heard it heals to get rid of the toxins out your body
jackie, can you please help me with some info? My brother is following a fruit diet (Dr Morse diet with formulas) now for almost a month and has MS. we have included avocados for his dinner so he gets some fat, but he is losing lots of weight. he is in a wheelchair and we hope he gets healed. How long did you do it for to see serious results? Did you stop after or did you add more foods after you got better? Any info much appreciated!!
I feel like he was so hydrated that the .6 was water weight coming from all the fruit and that's the reason he was not as defined. it was like the opposite dehydrating
