My experience with the chrome marker is that it actually shows up best on top of a different colour. Then it almost is like a mirror, I liked putting it ontop of the black myself. Also, don't call your art stupid, you are a real inspiration to me. I always felt like my art was a bit too, cartoon/childish and seeing your style/art and seeing how amazing that looks makes me feel like actually I am allowed to like having cartoon/childish looking illustrations.
